To management: this location needs way more staff on the front line- there’s about 10-15 people waiting with only 2 tellers… please take a look at historic traffic data and see what peak hours are. There must be analytics for this if not. There needs to be some infrastructure to measure this.

This review is specifically for Mr.Gerek who assisted us today with opening our business account.
He was so professional and everything went pretty smooth although that was his first day of experience with opening business accounts.

"They lost our trust and my money"
The basis of be a bank is keeping money safe, but CIBC even made me lost my moey due to their falult.
I used this bank because they are one of the most famous bank which has lots of branches. However, It does not even have a basic duties and responsibility.
I paid my tuition fee through CIBC and the bank teller sent my money to BC HYDRO!!! not UBC . First, I don"t understand how she sent that big amount of to BC HYDRO. That problem was even found by me.
When i first visited CIBC to complain this situation, they suggested me to send my tuition fee first through my account again.(my money was hold in BC HYDRO) So I sent same amount of money again. THE ANNOYING THING is
They told me to call Bc hydro BY MYSELF to get my previous money back
They did not do anything and avoid their duty and responsibility .
I visited the bank almost 3rd times, and spent my time more than 4 hr in total. The first happening occured on Feb 14th but my money is not still back yet . Now it is almost a month ago.
What if i dont have enough funds to pay again? Now I am thinking it was better that I did not have sufficient fund in that moment .

You guys make a big huge fancy new branch, combining 2 branches into one and still only make it with 4 tellers at the best of times(lot of time only 3 on) and no business line. Spend way too much standing in line. You should have made way more tellers with the size of this branch!!!!

If you think the old one in the mall was bad, think again. With fancy walls & receptionist they hired youth in their 20s who have no clue on what they are doing. Long lines & unprofessional service. Took 20 min & 2 staff to process mortgage prepayment deposit, which typically takes 5 min. And they simply pushed me aside while serving others behind.
CIBC has no shame in squeezing an extra penny from your wallet but they don't man up when it comes to customer service!
I'm looking for another location!
