I had a really unpleasant phone experience today.. I was trying to order a box of candy sticks, I explained that previous times the candy has been stale and lacked flavour, the operations manger who wished to not given her name was so rude- she said she was the owner when I asked to speak to the owner! she stated she is the highest level and I can't talk to anyone else..I was merely trying to give feedback and discuss how expiry data work- why give stale candy to guests at a party..
it was really upsetting and frustrating to have had such an unpleasant experience..I've shopped here for years with no customer service problems to date...
maybe they were having a bad ego day!
Funny they decide to cancel my order bc they have one sided lack of professionalism..
they sell old stale candies and chocolates and can't handle feed back and blame the customer.. very funny
I have all the calls recorder so if you want to know who was rude feel free to reach out ! then you will know you have an internal staff issue..
don't shop here..
there are way better stories with friendly owners!
to reply to your comment..I made no such threats I advised when you were rude that it's recorded ! as a customer I have the right to ask what the production date, and expiry is..when I shared feed back you all got so defensive! I'm not the only review who has commented about your product quality!
Yes I took my business elsewhere and coincidence not sure what your referring to why would I give you any sort of business ?
and for the record the operations manager advised that when I call back I ask for the order desk and not here..I only asked for names so I know who to ask for when I call back! you guys are all very high strung and funny !
Anyway karma will show who is right and who is wrong ..

I received a gift of 4 assorted chocolates from this place and the taste was so unpleasant and off-putting I threw them out. I tried a small bite of all 4, thinking that maybe the horrible taste was just a one off, but all of them awful. The reason I'm leaving a review is because I googled the place to see if maybe they were known for weed chocolates or something. Anything that would explain the strange taste. I saw a few reviews mention diabetic chocolates so maybe she had gotten those without realizing? I should have just spat it out because it ended up giving me an upset stomach.

Great selection of chocolates with all sorts of shapes; they have diabetic chocolate too. But I felt very unwelcomed in the store

As the name suggests, it is a “factory” and they make no bones about it! So if you are used to visiting chocolate shops in Europe, or even downtown Vancouver, you might be in for a shock. The staff is polite but thoroughly transactional, so don’t even bother striking a conversation with them. You would imagine chocolateries to be warm and inviting, but this place as cold as it gets in terms of customer service. Now for the chocolate - they do have a wide variety on offer - from milk to white and of course dark, as well as liqueur chocolates, but none of it is anything to write home about. I personally found the chocolate to be too sugary, and reading the labels, there’s probably more preservatives and artificial flavours than your everyday supermarket chocolate, so I am not sure I would ever call them a boutique chocolatier! In terms of pricing, they are almost at par with other retail location selling chocolate, including Purdys, so the factory set up is a bit misleading.Overall, you are better off buying the more popular Swiss/Belgian chocolates in a supermarket or Costco both in terms of quality and value for money!

Only spot to get diabetic safe chocolates, candies and other sweets with no crazy after taste that I know of. Has been around forever and always some of the best sweets I've had. Such a cool shop with everything that Purdys has but better. And the atmosphere is great. They also have anything you could ever need to make your own goodies. From blocks of chocolate to molds. Definitely a must check out place
Dietary restrictions: They have diabetic safe chocolates, gummies, candy etc

Great selection here, super friendly helpful staff. Happy to get what I needed here and not have to order online!
