“My partner and I are both adopters and current foster parents for CCAR. We have nothing but positive reviews and kudos to give this amazing, entirely volunteer run, organization.
We have fostered all kinds of feline friends from kittens, to adults, to healthy and sick. CCAR helps their fosters and adopters provide outstanding care for their cats and dogs. They have a wonderful vet (that we still use for our 2 boys) and help provide their fosters with all the tools they need to care for their temporary family members.
The experience we had adopting our first boy through CCAR was so wonderful we decided to apply to foster. We let the coordinators know at that time we would eventually like to foster to adopt a kitten in the future, and when the time came (after fostering for a bit) they aided us in making the process seamless.
Thank you CCAR for all you do for the animals in your care, your fosters, and your adopters!”
“Fantastic thrift store. A little pricier but the quality is more than worth it! Everything is sorted by size not colour, which is a pleasant change and makes it much easier to find things.”
“First time dropping off used items here. An absolute pleasure to donate to. Easy in/out. Smiling greeter. I'm almost excited to go find MORE stuff to bring to them!”

2784 Claude Rd, Victoria“One of favourite thrift stores in Victoria area (a 25-35 minute #95 bus ride from downtown), I always find something .Two room carpets, one $18! the other $45, both in excellent condition .Great selection of clothing. I have found designer labels here for $6-9 on regular basis.Nice customer service, and gets busy on weekends.Worth a visit!”

785 Pandora Ave, Victoria“This is my favourite thrift shop in Victoria! I always enjoy thrifting at WIN and especially this location with its friendly staff and the vintage clothing section. They price some name brands a bit high for a thrift store (on par with consignment boutiques) but you can still find great stuff at good prices if you're willing to look and not focused on brand names.”
“Lovely store and well laid out. I think the prices are reasonable and the person at the checkout was professional and polite. I found the perfect jacket! I'll be back ?”
“Very pleasant experience. The lady working this day was very friendly. she pointed out some great articles of clothing (which I did purchase), and provided me with information to enjoy a full day of thrifting downtown. Thank you so much!”
“Currently my favourite thrift store in the CRD, for its numerous hidden treasures AND the fact that it hasn't shut down its change room since COVID. My only (small) complaint is that it's not always open, but if freedom to choose hours supports the owner's independence, I'm willing to suck that up.”

1810 Store St, Victoria“Always good finds and value. In the 45 minutes I was there I saw two shoplifters taken out the front door by police cuffed. If this is a regular occurrence, having a side exit for these occurrences away from customers coming in and out. Store is always well organized and clean better than most.”
“Good selection of clothing - lots infants and children items - for the whole family in great condition at good prices (those 55-and older get 10% every day at all "Sally Ann's").
I've gotten some good pots and pans from here.
The store use to be larger but eliminated the lower level to right as you enter the store... No longer offer furniture, pictures and artwork/frames, and DIY tools like they use to.
Busy on a Friday afternoon.
Located on main plaza in Brentwood Bay, easily accessible from downtown Victoria by #75 bus or #83 from Sidney.”
