I stayed in the deluxe cabin recently while on a road trip from the West Coast to Northern Alberta. Friendly accommodating staff, safe, perfectly clean and fresh cabin, comfortable bed and nice linens; it was the perfect 1/2 way point with easy access off the highway. Highly recommended.

Had a great night there, I was in a camper truck and the noise from the highway or train didn't bother me.Owners were super nice, we did our laundry for 10cad, the owner lent us a cord to dry our sensitive clothes and gave me marshmallows for our campfire.Bathroom were clean if a bit small, but overall very happy with the place. They also have a very complete outside kitchen with microwave, oven, burners... Everything you need.WiFi was working great too in this area were I didn't have 4g on my phone.RecommendNearby activities: You can walk to the nearby lake and go for a swimFood & drinks: They are selling drinks and some basic food on site

One quick night in the A Frame cabin. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, linens were fresh, and that was all we needed. We WILL stay here again if we are passing through Blue River.

Even with the fire ban in effect, the outside kitchen was very clean and organized. This made cooking and eating very easy. The campground is located nearby a lake and river, both having very great views. An amazingcampground.

Well-maintained campground, very clean, lots of amenities, great for either backpacking or RVing. Friendly people. lovely little lake to see nearby. Can hear the highway, but being close to the highway is convenient. Enjoyed the stay here.

Friendly staff. Family friendly with designated play areas and gathering spaces. Clean community showers, washrooms, laundry and kitchen. Kids enjoyed riding the park bikes, playing basketball and the loads of other outdoor games available. Close to local amenities like a small grocery store on Main St, Grizzly Shack for great burgers and fries(large portions) and Lake Eleanor beach, playground and picnic area. Definitely reasonably priced. We will stay here again, if we get back to this area.

Nice people and the campsite was otherwise neat. Only we toilet blocks are really bad 2/10. Smell of toilet use while showering is nasty.Cookhouse was fine. Wi-Fi fine. There is not much to do in the area.

Real nice campground. Owners super friendly. We had a tent site and he ran a long extension cord for us so we could have power. It is close to the highway, but you can see that when you research the campground, it didn't bother us. Beautiful scenery all around especially the lake in the surrounding areas. I will definitely camp here again!

I had a great experience with the deluxe cabin. The cabin has kitchen essentials (microwave/fridge) and a bathroom with shower. I was impressed with their home-style decorations. I will definitely be staying here again, probably for a longer stay now that I know that the accommodations are so comfortable. I left my bathing suit and the owners were kind enough to mail it to be quickly, I eTransferred them the postage. Best place to stay in Blue River!Safety: I felt safe and secure in this cabin

Blue river campground is in a good location with some nice wildlife around, we stayed for just 1 night on our way to kamloops. The service was good. On to the negatives, the shower block was a little outdated, RV pitches cramped together, a little noisy from the highway / railway and the electric / water hookups are positioned poorly, both us and our neighbour had problems making our leads fit. Lastly the wifi was pretty terrible compared to many of the other sites we have visited. Overall I’d say not bad for a night or two but I wouldn’t like to spend a week here.

Undersized electrical system for the number of campsites leads to dangerously low voltage (96VAC-105VAC vs expected 120VAC). ACs kept tripping all over the park including ours. Low voltage leads to an increase in current in your appliances in order to maintain the power, which leads to increased heat dissipation. This heat can damage the electrical insulation of your appliances causing long term damage. When I approached the office about this they came and switched my power over to the neighbour's receptacle (which didn't solve the problem OR would have moved the issue, if local, to our neighbours). After measuring voltage at other campsites, it was found to be a system issue (local to the campground, not supply - I work for an electric utility so am well versed in this regard). I approached the office staff again with suggestions and asked them to remedy the issue . The owner responded with anger and aggression that I was causing a disturbance by asking other campsites if they were having an issue. I felt threatened by his raised voice, body language and shaking hands. He attempted to evict us for bringing this problem up to him so we cut out stay short and left rather than risk confrontation. The camper beside us registered a "shore power fault" on their control panel which wouldn't event allow them to connect to the shore power because of the dangerously low voltage.Water pressure was excellent. Nice location but hostile owners when raising a concern + dangerous electrical system. I recommend you avoid this campground.

$6 to use the sani dump after you've already paid to stay there was kind of ridiculous. Campsite was average, and right next to the highway. It was great because we only needed a place to stay for one night, noise from the highway and trains all night long was less great, but tolerable. Wonderful mountain

This campsite was an absolute disgrace, we paid premium dollars for a deluxe cabin, which turned out to be a used Atco worker’s accommodation! Everything from mouse p*** on the kitchen counter, dirty plates in the cup, the third bed was set up in the kitchen. The campsite in places looked like a dump, lots of scrap metal laying around. Our picnic table had chunks missing from the top! My one star rating was generous to say the least. Very disappointed. The campground had a very old sign from CAA saying recommended, they should revisit and re-review the said campground.
