I closed out my account on Nov 30 and informed the owners the unit was emptied. I was, however charged for Dec. I have emailed and called several times and have been promised a refund which has never materilized. I keep getting notices of payments due and have now received a notice that I am locked out of a unit I no longer use. I have demanded that the account be closed for three months now, but it remains open. I am sure they have rented it again and are trying to double dip. I would not recommend the business to anyone, there are other, more honest facilities in near by towns.

Hands down the worst customer service. Would not communicate with me on getting a refund took almost 2 months. For every 5 text I sent over a few days I would be lucky to get one response same with phone calls. Would go days waiting for her to call me after she said she would. Said she doesn't work on the weekends so if you ever have any problems you will just have to wait. Never had such a difficult time getting a refund. She said she sent me a check in the mail I waited 10 days nothing then when I finally got her to respond she was like oh I was just informed it was returned to me this morning. Sure it was smh

We rented from here and i messaged the number to communicate with them several times over a couple days, never got a response. Their gate system is too slow, if you don’t wait to ensure the gate closes other people have plenty of time to get in, creating situations where several units get broken into and a camper stolen off the lot. They need a camera system set up out there, which they do not have. And better communication with their customers. The rates are reasonable but if you rent from them make sure your stuff has great locks on it. Nothing that can be easily cut off.

Their automatic billing has got to be the worst system I have ever dealt with. I have not had anything at their facility for several months now. I have notified them through email several times that I have nothing there. It was an RV stored outside so if they ever check their property they would know it wasn’t there. My credit card was just billed$240 for services I have not used in months.

Wouldn't give a star at all really wife paid bill 2 days before we were moving showed up with 178.oo rental truck they had their locks on my unit wont answer the phone or texts or emails so I'm sitting here now waiting to see f I can even get n my building today or lose the 178.00 rental altogether

As of now, this business does not even deserve a single star rating. Today, my wheels and tires were stolen from my vehicle. My wife made contact will the individual who is responsible for this facility and told my wife that there is nothing that she can do. Also, they have false advertisement on their website saying that they provide security by using "onsite security and digital video surveillance". She also told my wife that she just had someone create the website. My wife told me as well that the individual is onsite everyday. I would expect from someone who is responsible to at least perform a walk around of the premises to spot out of the ordinary things. I highly recommend not using this storage facility. However, my opinion would change if they made major improvements regarding the care and the security of the patrons of this facility.

When I got a unit with Meader's, my card was supposed to be charged $45 (plus tax), but a charge of $270 went through. After speaking with the owner, she said it had gone through her account already and she had no way to return my money. Shortly after, my unit was broken into and cleared out of nearly all of my belongings including furniture, appliances, and over 20 totes of custom made clothing for my children, shoes, coats, a handmade child porch swing that my deceased uncle made for my kids, and tons of toys and baby items. This all happened back in October 2018. The owner maintained she was not responsible and told me I should have taken out renter's insurance. This was the worse experience I have ever had with any business. As soon as my incorrectly taken out $270 lease expires, I will be moving what's left of my things to another storage rental. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LADY!!! She does not monitor anything on the premises, does not care about her customers, and takes no steps to protect her customer's possessions.

The facility was fine. I liked that you had to have a code to enter, but someone broke into my storage (with a code needed it had to be an inside job) stole several pieces of furniture, my Keurig, and all my Christmas decorations. I'm most upset about the Christmas. Those were family items I can never get back.

My experience with Meaders Self Storage was excellent. I had to change sizes last minute and it was no problem at all. I was lucky there was a larger size open at that time and Mrs. Meaders was very accommodating then and always pleasant, neighborly, and friendly. Renting a storage unit can be done over the phone with an automated system, including payment. The units have concrete floors and are very well maintained. The grounds are well maintained and the units are protected by a coded entry gate. There is plenty of lighting and when I had to go to storage late night for whatever reason I felt safe and never had a problem. If I need storage again I will definitely go back.
