The food was very flavorful and came out fast despite the rush of people they had. We got the shrimp and fish platter, chicken strip basket, and the cowboy burger, a small coffee cup and regular drink for $42. Great price for the portion sizes! This is now a favorite stop when we come to visit

Sunday April 7, 2024Excellent food & friendly service with smiles, our breakfast was the Best, i had loaded hashbrowns with gravy & biscuit, and hubby had a biscuit & gravy plate. While finishing our breakfast, the lady was posting the lunch special: chicken fried chicken or meatloaf with 2 sides, dessert & 20 oz drink for $11.99. No doubt in my mind, we missed out on a good lunch. We will definitely be back. Thank you all for the excellent food & service.

Nice Friendly People and Service, the Lady behind the Counter was Very Helpful too, on fishing report and how to get to the boat ramp.This was our first trip, in be returning soon.

Got a delicious cheeseburger and swirl ice cream in a cup. The burger was full of fresh items. Place is always busy.

Not a bad little place. Burger and fries were okay, nothing to brag about, but good for out in the sticks. Service was good and staff friendly.

They rent out "cabins" which are all part of one building, separated into efficiency motel apartments. Mine was not clean when I arrived. There was water trapped in the sink, water in and around the small refrigerator, a meal container with leftover food in it, and dust all over the furniture. The shower and toilet looked clean, but the shower rug had small pieces of "foot traffic" on it. The room had an odor which affected my ability to breathe. Not sure if it was being recycled by the air conditioner or something in the room smelled bad. It was not a lake-related smell. I've been fishing most of my life and never smelled that odor. I arrived just before closing, so I barely had time to get my room key, unload, and report the problems before they were gone for the night. They cleaned up the water and removed the food. The odor affected my ability to breathe well, so I had to find other accommodations in a nearby town in Louisiana, around 10:00 pm. I returned to town the next morning and explained the situation. They promptly refunded all but my deposit (which was absolutely fair, since they were unable to rent the room out after hours), and I returned to my new accommodations for the rest of my trip. They seemed positive that the room had been cleaned, so I'm not sure what happened. I do feel it is important to mention that they were very friendly on the phone before I arrived, and they were friendly when I signed out, too.
