Apperantly you will be denied to adopt a kitten if you have a female dog that is not neutered. We have been told its state law which I let them know I can not find anything that states this.

Warning to all!!!! Do not adopt from this animal shelter. As a first time adopter I didn’t realize all of the red flags. One of the most unprofessional places to get an animal. No follow up. I adopted a dog who had a preexisting injury who needed an emergency vet visit and antibiotics the night I got her. That was not disclosed. Nor was any other information. I called them worried it may need surgery and that I would not be able to afford that, I was told to just bring her back but I did not want to do that then! After socializing her it was apparent she had severe dog aggression issues. Since I was not aware of this, I asked if I could bring her back, since it was not working out. They refused. No other shelter will take her now. Nor any rescues. They told me it is my responsibility to train or euthanize. I’ve had this dog less than 2 months , 7 weeks. I think how they handled this situation was extremely unprofessional. I understand they have a lot of dogs and need to find them homes, but many shelters will say if it doesn’t work out to bring the dog back, this is not the case here. If you do find a dog you like here, make sure it has been temperament tested, and observe it with other dogs. Also thoroughly check the animal for any preexisting injuries. Good luck!

Courtney and her staff are extremely caring and helpful to those in the community. They are up against many obstacles everyday and they work hard to keep all the animals safe and well cared for. Cannot thank them enough for all their hard work!

We found a dog with no collar roaming around a lake. He was so sweet and obviously well cared for. We brought her to this facility. They were very friendly and helpful! Thankfully, the dog had a chip and was easily reunited with her person!

We got my baby boy here, they didn't make us pay the adoption fee because he was so close to his last day. Just passed five years with my buddy, wouldn't have him without this place.

I was in a car accident last year on my way go take my dog to the vet. I had to go to the hospital and couldn't take her with me. Springdale Animal Services took her in and held on to her until I could go pick her up. I was able to worry about me instead of her since I knew she was being well taken care of.
