Great place, just wish they could get a better selection of Ruger made Marlin lever actions. But I'm find that is the case everywhere I go. Either Ruger is have a problem with production or their Marlin Line is very popular!!!

Josh at Ft. Thompson really knows his stuff about firearms. His technical knowledge is impressive, and he's super patient, explaining things in a way that anyone can understand, no matter your experience level, If you're looking to learn, he's definitely the go-to guy.

I bought a pair of Fort Thompson waders mid January of 2024. I hunted a rice field two times and on the second use the waders started leaking. I had the waders for less than 30 days and returned them early February of 2024 to be replaced under warranty. They found the leak but informed me that it would not be covered under warranty and could sell me a patch kit instead. This is absolutely unacceptable service. If you can't help your customers with a product that costs over $250 and is obviously defective from the manufacturer, you shouldn't be selling these at all. I would not recommend buying waders or any product from Fort Thompson, and I will be telling anyone I know to stay far away. These people will not help you or back their products. If you are in need of waders I would advise you look at Mack's Prairie Wings, BMT Outdoors or Chene Gear instead.

Probably the most helpful and friendly staff i have encountered. These guys are great! Everyone in the store was also very knowledgeable about the products on their shelves, and very eager to help. At no point did i feel like I was “just another customer.” This has definitely been moved to #1 on my list of places to visit when i’m shopping for firearms, or firearm related equipment. Kudos guys, VERY well done.
