Not only is there the mountain to climb, but there are multiple trails to walk. Depending on how you are physically there is an easy and a harder side. the veiw is beautiful and the hike is quick. I love it.

One of my favorite hikes I have done is the east summit. Stunning views and a very challenging hike. My dog was able to complete most of the hike but did have to carry her down some of the more challenging rocks. They have kayaking and paddle boarding as well for rent via kiosk. They no longer rent canoes. It was pretty pricey (about $65 for a 2 person kayak for the day). Overall a great time.

me and my friend wanted to hike at sunrise, but the sunrise was at 6:39. the gate apparently doesn't open until 6:30, when we thought it opened one hour before sunrise. if it closes one hr after sunset, then it should open one hr before sunrise.

Pinnacle is beautiful, it's a steep hike and we visited here several times while we lived here. It is great exercise with a good view of Lake Oauchita and a lot of Arkansas at the top. Bring lots of water and binoculars to ensure a good time. Check the weather too! There is a high chance of lightning strikes during a rainstorm. It's the tallest peak in Arkansas. The park also features a well developed playground and bathrooms on sight. There is also a lot of room for walking your dog, and plenty of parking. Make sure to park in a space, though. This park is patrolled frequently by a park ranger and a state park, parking ticket is $200.

Not gonna lie, lost the trail a bit on the way to the base of the steep part. Pay attention to those tree markers because foot traffic clearings can lead you astray.

This was another recommendation from my coworkers here in LR. It's a beautiful state park with multi use trails (for hiking, mountain bikers, etc). There is a visitor's center with a nice scenic overlook of the river. There is a "hard side" and "easy side." Since I wasn't familiar with the area, I took an "easy" trail. If you're (visiting from outside the area) looking for a harder route, make sure to map the directions to Pinnacle Playground. I took the Lower Trailhead and went up the Coachwhip Trail and down Middle Mountain- Carnasaw. I wish there had been more trailmarkers along the route, as it was quite a ways around the Coachwhip trail, and it was getting pretty late in the evening. Despite it being a hot day, the shade provided a cooler hike for me. Make sure to bring bug spray! Oh, and I hear hiking up to the summit to see the sunrise and/or sunset is a must! I can only imagine how stunning it is!

It's fun. There are things that young kids can do. They can walk trails climb the mountain and more.

There was a nice visitor center with a small overlook. We went on the two easiest trails- Kingfisher Trail (a trail with trees and small creek) and the Arboretum Trail (lots of plants). Both were super short. I can't imagine how many mosquitoes there must be during the summer. I'm sure the more strenuous hikes were great but we unfortunately were unable to do those.

Went hiking up the mountain and it was a great trail. I don't have much experience hiking so I can't compare it to much, but it was very nice. There were separate trails to take that were different difficulties, it wasn't littered, and there were a few benches along the way to stop and relax. The views were great and it wasn't very challenging to get to the top, though it was exhausting. Many stone steps along the way as well as you move up the first half.

So first stop entering Pinnacle Mountain is Parks on lower level of trails and fishing area . Family stop for kids!!! Yes! Very nice water and nice Bathrooms and play ground kids will enjoy! Then we got back in car to drive to gift shop & visitor center ! A easy walk up low steps up , up,up, easy steps up! easy for handicap elderly friends with cane. Yes we walked a trail that started out concrete then moved into shaded wilderness watch for rocks , not a great walk for couch lovers but try it you may love it! I wish the dog lovers would have picked up the p*** along the path, I just told my kids "probably wild wolves " beautiful breath taking rock formations steep up but fun trails. beauty to your sight; silence and relax into a meditation!

I hiked from the visitor center to the Rocky Valley Trail to the scenic overlook via the East Quarry Trail. Two hours in 95 degree humid weather but it was worth the view at the end. It rained the night before so the trail was very wet (creek-like) in many parts. I suggest a hiking stick (I nearly slipped and fell a couple of times) if you go after it rains. A very pretty place For a hike. Well worth the drive from Little Rock and it

When you walk to the trail, you will get a foot massage from sharp rocks on the ground. It was great hike place but make sure that you have the right hiking shoes to avoid any slippery situation.

Beautiful scenery. Hike is uphill but not too long. A few little benches to take breaks along the way.

Super easy trail with stunning views! My husband and I went right before the sun was setting so we were able to get the best of both worlds! We got to the peak and enjoyed the beautiful views. The trail is super easy and can be done with little ones as well. Being the daredevil my husband is, we decided to go off trail a little and climb some rocks to get up the mountain. If you're feeling a little adventurous...I say go for it too!
