First of all I want to say Matt fryer is living off of his grandfather's name that originally started friars transmission and he has run the name in the ground he does not live on the same morals and values that his grandfather did cuz I have had prior business in the past with his grandfather and it has been great but since
I took a 2007 Chevrolet avalanche to have transmission rebuilt original price was going to be 1,998.00 with taxes included by the time he was done it cost me 2,716.00 he charged me 398.00 for a throttle body which I could have gotten for 201.00 that he wouldn't use because they only use there parts only then a 95.00 install fee for a 10 minute job and on top a 47.00 relearn fee because i was told if I did replace this throttle body he would not warranty the transmission job he done after picking up the truck it drove terrible had a bad bad grinding noise coming from underneath we took it back to have them look at it they told us that it was a heat shield that my vehicle didn't previously have a heat shield on it so they added one and it rattled very bad from what I was told I do not believe it was a heat shield it grinded something terribly then after dropping it off to get them to fix the heat shield that they added on my vehicle we drove home and noticed that the motor mounts were both broke which were not broke prior to driving to fryers transmission he would not cover the motor mounts after he had broke them during the transmission change from letting the transmission hang freely attached to the engine which did damage to the motor mounts and rip them I do agree the avalanche had 160,000 MI on it but they were not broke previously and no matter what I did he would not fix the motor mounts so that was another 500 I had to pay on top of the 2716 that was due to his negligence of not doing the job professionallY and taking the precautions of not breaking anything else during removing and replacing my transmission so that being said I would find another transmission shop that has some morals and respect for customers
I am going to leave a guy's name and information here that used to work right beside Matt fryars grandfather rebuilding these transmissions he will warranty anything that broke during the removal and installation this is my go-to guy for now on the name of the business is GASTONS TRANSMISSION & More he is located in pearcy Arkansas just outside of Hot Springs not too far from fryars

Had my transmission and transfer case replaced in my 1998 F-150. It cost over $3,500.00 when I picked it up. It shifted and drove HORRIBLE when I left Fryers with the truck. Truck got stuck in 4lo after driving it 7k miles. I took it back to Fryers where they refused to work on it with my paperwork saying I had a 1yr warranty on transmission. The owner said the truck had “bugs” in it, and that was his reason for refusing to fix the poor job they did. I do not recommend, at all. Waste of money. THANKS FRYAR!!

So far been good they have my vehicle their it was taken first of April was waiting for insurance to ok should get back mid May can't wait to get it back out everyone has been very nice and call with up dates

So far, in the two weeks I've had the truck back, she's been running flawlessly. The issue with my truck was pretty common and these guys had her done and ready to go in 4 days from the Monday I dropped her off.

Looked my CRV over, because transmission was “missing” just about 15,000 miles after a transmission service. Orr Honda of Hot Springs said I needed transmission service again, that was not true. Fryer’s put my car on a computer, and my car computer needed an UPDATE from Honda. There was a recall. Took it back over to Orr Honda, sure enough that’s what it was. They updated my computer, and my transmission was fine. This wasn’t the first time Orr Honda tried to sell me something I didn’t need. Thank you Fryar’s!
