9/9/23- my friend and I were being gifted spur of the moment haircuts to combat hard times life is giving us. We started looking for a place that would be open long enough for us to get cut and color done. Deciding jcp. Would be open for a couple of hours at least ONE of us would be able to get our hair done OR set us up for a cut and color soon. But NEITHER happened since we walked in to the salon at 505pm and knowing they would be open until 7pm... we were commenting on nail colors (I love OPI colors) waiting for a total of 10 minutes for someone to greet us. IT NEVER HAPPENED. Peeked around the corner to see a woman sitting with ear buds in at a salon chair chatting/playing on her phone. We waited for a few more minutes hoping to get some recognition of our existence. We never did sadly. We walked out feeling defeated that we could not even schedule for a more convenient time frame. And upon driving away from the mall she was standing outside propping the door open chatting on her phone. Jcp has lost business bc what is meant to be convenient walk-in service was not available. Don't get me wrong I understand the need for a break! I don't know what is happened in her life anymore then she knows mine- but not even giving acknowledgement is the reason for this review.

My hair is natural and the shrinkage is unreal. I went for a shampoo, condition, straightening and trim. I have been natural for several years and had this process done multiple times elsewhere, and it has never looked this bad. Dani was very nice; however, my hair was too much for her. I will visit a different location in the future.

I had a silk press and haircut and my stylist, Emmy, worked with my natural hair beautifully! She even gave me helpful hair care tips. I had a great experience and would go to her again!Service: Haircut

Terrible experience! I booked my appointment online at 7am this morning arranged my day around this appointment. Drove an hour there, showed up 30 minutes early and they told me they double booked me and couldn’t fit me in. Poor management and scheduling. A call in advance would have been appropriate. They wasted my time and gas and I didn’t get my hair done. They did not seem apologetic about it. Super frustrated.Service: Hair coloring

Terrible service. Horrible management. I booked an appointment online and an hour before my appointment I get a call that “they took a walk-in and would be unable to do my appointment bc they got busy and didn’t check.” They we’re not apologetic and I had wasted my time driving 30 minutes to Little Rock for the appointment. Do not waste your time and money. Go somewhere more professional.Service: Hair coloring

I brought my 4-year-old son here to get a quality haircut before he had his pictures taken in the JCPenney photo studio. The hair cut turned out wonderfully, much better than the previous place we have been going to. My son even asked if he could come back here again. Katie was great!

I had service at the salon and was told that I had a one week satisfaction guarantee if I didn't like it. When I came back to have my concerns addressed within one week they attempted to charge me for a full price service. Upon complaint I was still charged $60, instead of $75, which means I still paid $30 more than if they had charged me for both services in the first place during our first appointment. Keep in mind I willingly left both appointments with wet unstyled hair to save the stylist time. Now $150 later my hair is orange and I cannot get my issue resolved by the store at 2 pm the next day since no managers on duty can assist with salon issues and was told the only person who can help me is the salon manager. Additionally the salon manager at the second appointment informed me that I was happy with my first service, and the second process was just something extra that I wanted. She insisted that it looked how it was supposed to, keeping in mind that it had to be processed twice during the first visit due to the color not taking resulting in a much darker root color. If they had informed me that I would be paying for another service to get a hairstyle I was happy with under the satisfaction guarantee then I could have just paid someone else all together to fix it or I could have at the very least come in at my convenience instead of being told I had to rush to make a decision on what to do with it inside a week. A customer should be informed when correcting an issue is going to cost a significant amount.
