I love the work that was done on my hair! I went in with dull brown hair long enough to reach my hips and asked for a cut and color. I wanted to do a darker red (maroon, burgundy, etc), but wasn't 100% sure on exactly what shade, and the cut to fall between my jawline and shoulders. My stylist, Shalimar, was super friendly and, when I told her how short I wanted to go, was shocked. I walked in with a bland shade of hip-length brown hair and walked out with the perfect cut and the dark red color that I wanted. With how Shalimar did the color, it came out a dark red-brown (not quite burgundy but close). I love it and will always recommend Shalimar at Smart Style inside Walmart in Mountain Home, Arkansas!
Requested style: I walked in with long hair that was a drab, bland brown in color and requested a dark red color with a cut that would put my hair between jaw- & shoulder-length. I got exactly what I asked for.
Stylist: My stylist was Shalimar and she did amazing! She was sweet and friendly, and I would give her a 1,000 out of 10 if possible.

Hair type: I have very fine hair and shalimar cuts it so it looks like it can be styled easily.
Stylist: Shalimar is the best. Courteous, friendly, efficient and gives the best haircut I’ve gotten in the 10 years I have lived in this area.

Stopped in around 10:15 am to see if I could get a haircut. There were no customers in the shop and the one stylist was too busy cutting her family members hair to acknowledge me. After standing there for around 5 minutes and after she was done with her family she asked me if I needed something. I said I need a haircut and I was told she was busy until 11. There was no one there! Guess I will go somewhere else.

For the most part, we have been happy with our cuts at SmartStyle in Mountain Home Walmart. However, now we cannot make appointments because the number is not working, and the salon does not take online appointments. :(

Hours of operation show until 7pm but I was informed tonight that they don't like taking any customers the last 30-45 minutes including I quick and easy kids cut for a boy! The reason they advise me of this is because they start doing their closing end of day stuff before that actually close so be aware their hours of operation are not true they are not open for customers typically after 6:00 p.m.! This has been shared with corporate because they need to change the hours of operation to show they close at 6:00 p.m. but I'm sure if they did that they start closing at 5:30 or before not accepting customers after 5:00 or 5:15! It's ridiculous do you have hours of operation that means you accept customers until operating hours are over seems like these younger generations are just getting lazier
