If I could give 0 stars I would. The customer service is horrible every time. Not all customers steal. I will never spend money where I'm treated like a thief. I can say that there was one lady Shena that was awesome she really needs to change locations Shantel needs customer service training. I believe she's the manager. I went right to Benton and was able to purchase exactly what I wanted without being treated like a thief. Mitch and the staff were outstanding great.
...DO NOT SHOP AT ULTA ON UNIVERSITY...

WHY WOULD THIS COMPANY GIVE YOU POINTS THEN TAKE THEM BACK. THAT'S NOT GOOD BUSINESS. YOUR CUSTOMERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP WHAT THEY'VE EARNED. I'M STARTING TO THINK THAT THIS COMPANY ARE INDIAN GIVERS. YOU GIVE AND TAKE BACK. IT'S KIND OF LIKE YOU'RE STEALING FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS.

I had a very bad experience in the salon. I don't recommend Tara. I came in for a wash and blow-out. When Tara was finished washing my hair, she then took me to her chair for the blowout. The first thing I noticed was that she didn't know how to detangle my hair. She actually started from the top and I could feel the tugging! So I nicely reminded her that you have to start from the bottom of the hair for detangling then work your way up. After she added in several products (too many!), she then started the blow-out from the front. When I asked to "feel" my hair, I noticed that it was really hard, and my hair strands were sticking together.
By this time, she called over Paula who was able to help. She told her to wash my hair again and recommended a lighter set of products, which Tara did. By the time, I got back in her chair, she still didn't know how to do a blow-out. Thankfully, Paula came over and showed her how to roll the brush using the blow-dryer, starting with the back. As Tara tried to learn this method, she still started grabbing my hair too tightly from the back. I then asked Paula to come back over to help Tara learn how to blow dry the hair.
By this time, I had been in for almost two hours, when Tara's next customer came in. By this time, Tara told me that Paula would finish my hair - which she did thankfully!
My issue is that Tara is a cosmetologist on paper only. Some of the simplest things like how to detangle hair - she doesn't know how to do. It would have been better had someone told me she is still in training or whatever her situation was, so at least I would know. But I wasn't told any of this. My appointment is now over, and while I'm thankful that Paula stepped in, you shouldn't have Tara doing hair for people of color if she isn't properly trained at doing it. I would like to warn others not to use her, and at least give your management there a heads up about my experience being so entirely bad (except for when Paula stepped in and actually helped me).

First time in the store. Pleasant workers. Disappointed because the store is limited on supplies. I was asked would I like to order on line. I said no because I was enjoying a day of shopping ?

Love Ulta. Needed some basic makeup brushes while traveling and was able to get a good brand at a decent price.

Just left & had a great time shopping with a lady with short blonde hair! She really helped me pick out the right shades. When I got to the register, I saw a single bottle of perfume sitting on the counter. No box or plastic & the only one! I tried to smell it, but I couldn’t so I put some on and asked the cashier Gabrielle how much it was. She looked at me and said “you just put that on. You have to buy it!” I told her I assumed it was a tester since there was only one & it wasn’t packaged, completely shocked & embarrassed! She said “no, it’s not a tester and you have to buy it.” Not wanting to cause a fuss, I bought the perfume. Surely it’s against a policy to force someone to buy something. Especially considering the store allows returns on used items.

If I could give pass than "0" I would. My daughter had a Homecoming event at 6:00pm for her school. I scheduled this appointment a month ahead of time and I was called at 1:00pm to tell me that the appointment was canceled with the makeup artist. I was willing to schedule with someone else and I was told that the other Makeup Artist didn't feel comfortable enough t to do an appointment on their own. I explained that I was willing to let my child be a practice person and "Mandie" the Operations Manager told me that she wasn't going to let come in. Why is this person a Makeup Artist and doesn't fee comfortable doing makeup This was a this inconvenience and a trouble look for Ulta Beauty as a whole!
