My husband and I happened upon the Empress by providence. We stayed one night in the Hemingway Suite in the carriage house and loved everything about it! From the romantic and historical atmosphere, the cleanliness, the attention to detail, the comfort, to the wonderful spa tub built for two. Meeting Antonio and getting a tour of this amazing place brought the history alive. We’ll be back.

Keith & Antonio provided us with an incredible experience staying at their b&b! We arrived later than we anticipated and Keith was so kind to still give us a tour of the mansion and I'm so glad! The history of the house is so fascinating and decor is gorgeous ? the room that we stayed in was so comfortable and I wish we could have stayed longer! Breakfast was fabulous too! Thank you so much for the lovely time!

In early June 2023 I had the pleasure of staying at the gorgeous Empress of Little Rock for one night. That night was the beginning of a road-trip and set a high standard that no other place on my trip lived up to. Not only was the Victorian mansion beautiful, well decorated and kept, but the innkeepers went above and beyond in their hospitality. From initial outreach to day of flight delays my e-mails were always promptly responded to and my questions were always answered. Keith, one of the owners, greeted me personally upon arrival and was diligent in confirming my dietary needs for breakfast the next morning. Further, Keith not only recommended dining options for a late dinner, but generously drove me to and from the downtown area so I would not have to walk in an unfamiliar neighborhood, in the dark, by myself, in the rain. Breakfast on the porch was a wonderful start to the day, and again the proprietors were generous in their hospitality, allowing me to continue storing my luggage in the room for an additional two hours post-checkout so I could explore their neighborhood unencumbered before meeting my travel companion at the airport.Location wise, The Empress of Little Rock was a quick ten minute drive from Little Rock's airport, and is nestled in a lovely neighborhood. It is residential but a short (10-15 min) walk to their commercial area. I loved exploring the Esse Purse Museum, enjoying ice cream, and perusing the Sunday morning Farmer's Market. All in all, I highly recommend The Empress of Little Rock for anyone traveling to/thru Little Rock.

Our experience at The Empress of Little Rock was nothing short of magic, thanks to Keith & Antonio. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that they put their hearts and souls into creating a truly remarkable experience for their guests. The mansion itself exudes character and history, with every nook and cranny telling a story of times gone by. Keith and Antonio's attention to detail in the restoration is absolutely impeccable, and it's clear that they have poured their passion into preserving the mansion's original charm.Upon our arrival, we were delighted to find out that they had graciously upgraded our room to the carriage house. It was a beautiful and spacious retreat, perfect for celebrating my birthday. To top it off, they had thoughtfully arranged local pastries for us, adding an extra touch of warmth and hospitality.Keith and Antonio's knowledge of the mansion's history was truly impressive. They took the time to give us a grand tour, sharing captivating stories and anecdotes along the way. It was fascinating to learn about the mansion's past and the people who had once called it home. Not only were they well-versed in the mansion's history, but they were also incredibly knowledgeable about the city of Little Rock itself. They provided us with excellent recommendations for restaurants and attractions, ensuring that we had a memorable experience exploring the area. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast that Keith prepared each morning. We would eagerly gather on the veranda, enjoying the beautiful surroundings while savoring the mouthwatering dishes he crafted. As we enjoyed our breakfast, Antonio would regale us with captivating stories from his illustrious career. His charisma and charm made for delightful company, and we found ourselves thoroughly entertained by his anecdotes.Lastly, we cannot thank Keith and Antonio enough for welcoming our beloved pup into their home. It can be challenging to find pet-friendly accommodations, but they went above and beyond to provide a safe and secure fenced-in garden where our furry friend could roam freely. Their thoughtfulness and consideration made our stay even more special. In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend Keith and Antonio's charming Victorian mansion to anyone seeking a truly exceptional experience. Their genuine warmth, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality create an atmosphere that is both inviting and unforgettable. We are grateful for the memories we made during our stay and cannot wait to return to this hidden gem in Little Rock.Pejy, Dwayne & Brooklyn

Absolutely loved our stay here! First of all: the house is a true architectural gem and it’s even more beautiful in person than it looks in pictures. Second, there are pet-friendly rooms and a walled garden that is absolutely perfect for a dog to run around! Third, it’s a short walk to a really cute area in downtown Little Rock with great restaurants and shops. And last but not least, the breakfast was delicious and included blackberries grown right in the front yard!

While on a road trip I decided to stop in Little Rock for the night. Wanting my quick stay to be an experience, I booked a rather last minute stay at Empress of Little Rock. Antonio the owner called me to confirm and waited on me to arrive. He was so very gracious. Along with the very charming Keith who checked me in. I can only describe the Empress Mansion as unbelievably dreamy! Ever detail is perfect. It's just an amazing place to stay. I slept so well that night, and had to know the origin of the bed linens the next morning because they were so very comfortable. The breakfast, prepared by Keith, and served outside on the amazing wrap around porch kept me sitting long past breakfast, it was so yummy! The whole experience was just amazing and I'm already planning a trip back to spend a few days at the Empress. Thank you Antonio and Keith for the lovely stay at your beautiful home in Little Rock!

Other than the wedding we were in town for, staying at the Empress was our favorite thing about Little Rock! Conveniently located right between the airport and downtown. Walking distance to nearly everywhere we went. Absolutely gorgeous rooms and amenities. Delicious and beautiful breakfast (not to mention they kindly catered to my vegan eating). And such hospitable and welcoming hosts who made us feel perfectly at home. Can't say enough good things!

I stayed two nights in the Pagoda Suite on the lower level of the Carriage House. I loved the proximity to the Secret Garden. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept. The owners are friendly and ready to provide guests lots of historic tidbits about the property, neighborhood and Little Rock.Rooms: Very fancy but comfortable.Nearby activities: Very close to the South Market district in downtown Little Rock.Walkability: The historic neighborhood is made for strolling and is close to the business and entertainment area on South Main Street.Noteworthy details: The main house, the Hornibrook Mansion, is dressed to the nines in historic appropriate fixtures and furniture. It is museum quality but comfortable. Sitting on the porch which wraps around 3/4s of the house could be a daily activity for me.

We loved everything about our stay at The Empress. Every detail has been thought of in the mansion. It is immaculate in care and cleanliness. We loved the tour and learning the history of this magnificent home. The owners were a delight. We will be back to visit in the future. The room was exactly as described and the photos really don’t do it justice. Breakfast was delicious and well plated.
