Smith Standard Poodles are the best poodles we have ever had. Our Party Tuxedo past away at almost 15 years old and we are looking at getting another Smith Poodle. Mick is a pleasure to work with and will always have good advice on his poodles. Our poodle Tucker always filled our lives with joy and laughter, and my wife even taught him how to smile.

1. I drove from out of state and bought a poodle for my daughter’s birthday on 7/9/2022.2. Noticed it was not eating when we got it home on the Sunday and Monday. I called the breeder and they started recommending baby food and to use a syringe to feed the dog. A new puppy should not require all of that.3. I took it to the vet on Tuesday and it was diagnosed with pneumonia and given antibiotics. Later that night she was struggling to breathe and we took it to the ER and it just got out of ICU on 7/14/2022.4. Spoke with the breeder and he has blamed us for making the puppy sick. We have not had this puppy a week. This puppy was not appropriate to sale.5. This organization has zero appreciation for business ethics.

I purchased a poodle from this breeder on Saturday, 7/9/2022. I noticed when we got her home she would not eat. I called the breeder and they suggested to feed the dog Gerber baby food to " get her appetite started". I knew that was not normal and took her to the vet. When I told the owner she was sick, they wanted us to drive from Tennessee to Arkansas to bring the dog back while she was struggling to breathe. We chose the ER which is 5 min away. She was diagnosed with pneumonia on 7/12/2022, and had a 2 day ICU stay. She is out now. She remains on bed rest and antibiotics. I called the breeder to update them and like an unethical business, the breeder blamed me for making the dog sick. I have not had the puppy a week. The dog was sick prior to me receiving it. I regret having done business with this place.

It turned out for the best but I have left messages, emailed (not in an annoying way) but have never gotten a call or email. So I got a pup from champion lines from a breeder who responds back to potential customers.Slick website & beautiful pictures for this kennel but zero response even to say we don't have puppies at this time.

Best poodles you could ever find! These are the sweetest, most intelligent, wonderful dogs and I wouldn't know what to do without mine! There is something to be said about somebody who puts as much research into their breeding program as Smith Standard Poodles does.

I purchased Remy from Smith Poodles 9 years ago and Lacy 7 years ago. They are both wonderful dogs in every way! Remy won first place prize in the Poodle Day Parade Carmel California in October 2012 for the best color! They were/are so good with my now 7 year old grandson. They are extremely smart and loving. I can't recommend Smith Poodles enough!

This breeder sold us a one-year-old poodle in 2013. Dillon had major health issues from the get-go. They started with cataracts which cost us several thousand dollars. Owner refunded purchase price which covered about one-third of the cost of surgery, vet visits, meds, etc. Then came glaucoma. More vet visits and very expensive eye drops. All for naught. This was followed shortly thereafter by enucleation (eyeball removal). He did amazingly well with no eyes. Not long after that, the seizures began. Major, full-blown, convulsive seizures. Another thousand or so in phenobarbitol prescriptions over a three-year period.Dillon died in October 2019 after suffering a massive 45-minute seizure from which he never recovered. He was 7-1/2. Very sweet, beautiful animal. But physically, he was a wreck. He really never stood much of a chance. But we feel blessed for having had him in our lives.Check out this breeder's Yelp reviews: Ours and another victim who was sold a puppy with parvo.Caveat emptor.

I too never met the owner of smith poodles! Just a nice woman in an office .. our PattiCake was a wonderful puppy but she did eat her own feces.... they do this when they haven't been given enough to eat! This habit quit a few Days after we got herby feeding puppy food and then picking it up ;following her as she pooped and grabbing it up immediately . No one ever called to check and see how we were doing with her...or to see how she as adjusting. I find that less than quality of a breeder. I had to send her to dog school in Louisiana as she was a nightmare in the car..barking aggressively at cars ,motorcycles and people. I feared she could break a window. She was there boarded at school for 5 weeks..,it didn't accomplish a thing. She is 7 ish now and still Food aggressive with The other 2 dogs and jealous of them getting too much attention from me or Tom. She attacks them. She is very sweet and loving with me and Tom and would never growl or anything with us. She is very good with people once inside the house. I would not take any amount of money for her ....really. We are in love . Of course breeders know that will happen.......... I would not buy another Stephens poodle but of course would never be without a standard poodle. I did buy a Spoodle : out of Pensacola; for 'her' and he is kind mild and they love each other....although she reminds him SHE is and always will be the boss.

Great people and great dogs. They let us visit and look at a couple of puppies so we could make a decision on one. They are very knowledgeable and helpful with any question you may have about poodles. Very fair prices. We love our Mac.

Smith Poodles is a wonderful breeder who breeds very calm well adjusted standard poodles. We bought our dog Gunner in June 2019 and he has been the best puppy I've ever had. He is so smart and was housetrained in two days using a doggie door. Two weeks later he did not require to be crated. We had a trainer come in to do some basic obedience training and she said he was the smartest dog she had ever trained. He learned to sit, stay, down and shake hands in the very first hour. Now at 9 months, he is a thriving wonderful dog. So wonderful that I just contacted Mr. Smith to get a companion for Gunner so he will have someone to play with. Also, when I received Gunner from the Smith's, he came with a two year health guarantee, so I can't imagine if James Sharp had contacted Mr. Smith, that he wouldn't have honored that guarantee. I recommend this breeder to anyone who wants a highly intelligent, calm well adjusted standard poodle. The Smith's must be doing something right to be in the business for over 20 years!

I have a 5 yr White Standard Poodle from here that has the best personality!!! She is very social and very sweet. Everyone who comes to the house instantly loves her, even if they say that they aren’t really a “dog person.” Many are surprised to see a big dog in the house and how calm and well mannered she is. This is just a Poodle trait. I only had to potty train her, the rest is just her traits and desire for attention. She loves to play and go on long hikes in the woods. Poodles are sensitive and want to please you. They are very affectionate. She is well bread and very healthy. A perfect family pet.
