March 2024 by Clay S.
As God and Kermit THE Frog as my witness, every word that follows is true....consider this a warning for your sake and any poor soul that might wander into a COSTCO looking for savings. I purchased a new set of tires here about 18 months ago. The price was right and the included rotation, nitrogen, and road hazard coverage which made the deal very appealing. On March 3, 2024 I took the truck back and arrived before COSTCO opened. I was the first person to arrive at the tire counter that morning. (Including the employees) I explained the issue and the employee seemed genuinely shocked and even appalled when after he asked if I'd made an appointment and I informed him that I had not. Note that I didn't need a new set with balance or even a rotation...none of that. This is a ONE tire problem. I felt as if he misunderstood my request and thought that I had an 18-wheeler with all flat tires sitting just beyond his garage doors. I was informed that in 30 minutes (what could possibly be done in such a small amount of time?) HALF of their bays would be full with vehicles that had appointments. I glanced through the window to a garage that at that moment had ZERO cars and 4 or 5 empty bays. I was then told that they would work me in but it could take up to 3 hours. So, I set off to look for discounts and sample food, because that's what one does at COSTCO on a Sunday. Ater waiting over an hour, I was told that due to the prorated value of the tire (60,000 mile tires had about 3,500 miles on them) and that the tire I bought was discontinued I would have to pay a fee. This came to over $100. The tires cost about $250 each so the math didn't make sense to me and I was not happy about this, but like most people I didn't read the fine print when I bought the tires and as I previously implied, I didn't come to a warehouse store on a Sunday morning looking for a fight. Also, you know is how sometimes you're standing across the counter from someone, and you look into their dead eyes, and you know that there is nothing to be won in this fight? Yep, It was that kind of moment. I just wanted one tire repaired or replaced. The gentleman told me he'd found a comparable tire at another warehouse and would have it shipped to the Little Rock Location. It was expected to take a week or less and he would call me. 10 days pass and nothing. I received no communication. I called Costco and the person I spoke with said verified the tire was ordered but could not confirm a delivery date. I called again on March 25. 3 weeks and a day after my initial visit. The person said they could see the order for the tire was active. They genuinely seemed to care and said that they would speak to the manager and have them call me. That was 4 days ago. No one has called me. Costco has had my money for over a month and I have had to make all of the effort in this transaction. I apologize to the reputable tire shops around town that have provided great customer service for years. I was enticed by a price that would save me a couple hundred bucks and I have lost all of those savings in wasted time. If you've made it this far into this review, I probably don't even need to tell you this, but I'm going to do it anyway - IT IS NOT WORTH IT. DO NOT make the same stupid mistake I did! Go to Austin Brothers,Discount Tire and Brake, or that guy your uncle Larry recommended! Save yourself the pain and support a local businesses at the same time. In the end you will find that it is the better value. I will continue, in your stead, to battle the forces of evil that most certainly use the COSCO tire center as a front for their true nefarious and still yet to be revealed purpose because it's clear that they have no iIdea how to run a tire shop AND, I'm pretty sure that I heard on of them say "Hail Hydra!" Under their breath. There is no need for you to suffer with me. Save yourself.

It is what it is. Brought my wife and great nephew with me to get Ozarka water in the chicane aisle that made it nearly impossible get through, much less load out water. There is zero customer to customer etiquette. Why would you turn the cart sideways other than to block the aisle. And these aisle blocking family reunions, who is directing these groups to break up and keep moving.

Costco - Auto - Tire buying/installation process in Little Rock. We purchased 4 tires in May 2023 during a special sale. We returned in June for installation - told 1.5 hrs. After walking to Chuy's for lunch, we received a call the tires were the wrong ones. In their defense, we were not in the car when we bought them and I had not paid attention to what I needed. So, we did an exchange and they gave us some discount; I was told they would be in within a few days unlike the others that were special order. I waited about 10 days and called. They had supposedly just arrived and I made an appointment the following Friday at noon. I arrived at noon. It was about 2:20pm when I finally got out of there. This sounds super petty, but the tires looked used from the dirt and grim on them. When you pay $1000 for new tires, they usually wipe them down and look new -- but I'm not from AR and am learning "things are different in AR". I will probably look elsewhere next time we need tires.

They have some of the best meat products you can get around. Pretenderized meat out of the meat department. Great deals on milk eggs and bread. Fresh produce is always great. I'm very picky now about where I get my food from high quality food for decent price. Always watch for the sales. And save a lot of money when you look for sales. Toiletries are a must from there as well for me. I love the stuff that's freshly made from the bakery as well and the deli the salads are awesome. And I love their bare chicken nuggets. Customer service there is amazing as well. They have good Costco travel plans as well and if you're in the market for a vehicle they also help with discounts on that through the website but only on certain models.

I signed up for a membership, and the very very pleasant cashier at customer service explained the membership, well, but I insisted that I did not want autorenewal if I paid by credit card. Cashier insisted it's the only way to activate the membership card. And she said, you can take the credit card payment method off your account later any time you want. The cashier called her supervisor over to see if they could avoid storing my credit card number, they could. Supervisor (Amanda) took care of it, but as she was doing it she said in a tone "Let's just get them their cards, so they can move on." Which translates to we know the business model is they hope old people like me or any people will forget that autorenewal is on. They don't care that they are storing my credit card information posing me a risk (or I have to trust Costco to mind my personal data in their database) for the next year. Other people in line might catch on to that they aren't doing you any favors, by storing your credit card for a year and putting you on autorenewal. So yep get them their cards and get them out of earshot of other customers! Did buy a few things, but they clearly believe they are worth paying to shop at, and I'm still on the fence. Did not start well.

Great place. Good products at competitive prices. High quality products at a good value. Worth the membership.

I had experience here recently and had a problem at checkout. It is too long to explain but Shawn was the employee that helped me. It was quite the ordeal and most people would not have had the patience he had and probably would have been rude with all the steps it took to get my problem solved and help me get through the check out with my items. Let's just say I forgot that Costco only takes Visa credit cards and that was only one issue I had. If every employee at Costco treats you like Shawn did me, you will want to do business at the Little Rock, AR Costco!

Very attentive staff. Products are higher quality than Sam's. Some areas have more variety and some less but overall it's the best warehouse store.

Having been a Costco member for over 20 years I am thrilled they have finally come to the Little Rock area. For all of those who are complaining please please go back to Sam's and bad meat and inferior products. Yes a membership is required to shop at Costco. If you don't want to shop there don't shop there. But, don't come to Yelp complaining and crying. Go back to SAM'S!

Its Christmas week, I am on my last business trip of the year and my "traveling-office" printer dies. So, I head to Costco for a replacement. This Costco had a wider selection than I recall at my local store. Selected a printer and checked out in less than 5 minutes. Then I discovered, this Costco has a liquor store attached. My wife had told me that some of the Costco brand liquors were made by some of the best brands (i.e., Kirkland cognac was made by Maker's Mark). So, I picked up Spiced Rum, Cognac XO, and Vodka; all were 1.5 liter and the bill totaled $82. The Kirkland Vodka was very good, the Cognac XO was really smooth, and the Spiced Rum is only used for baking cakes.

I had my parents visiting from out of town. I have a Sam's in the town I live in. I was informed, when I called, that I could not even ENTER THE BUILDING without a membership! Demanding customers, "Buy BLIND"?!? The worker may as well have told people. "Go get a membership at Sam's!" Fix it! ASAP!

I was thrilled know Costco opened a store in Arkansas being that this is Walmart's home. Prior to relocating here I had a Costco store 5 min from my office. They are still working out the kinks but I know that they will get it up to they're high standards in a very short period of time, For those that are new to shop at Costco, you are in for a treat. The quality is bar none, the best. Nothing compares. Their meat is better than anywhere I've ever purchased and worth every penny.

Having been a Costco member for years, I was thrilled that one would be opening in Little Rock. Waited several months after opening to allow the rush to subside. My husband and I went to the Little Rock warehouse last week. My husband is disabled and thankfully, we had no problem finding a handicap parking space. Upon reaching the entrance, we saw that there were no handicap carts available. Because my husband can not stand very long, we had to find a place for him to sit down which was no easy task. I stood at the exit for quite some time waiting for someone with a cart to exit. Decided to ask an employee about the cart situation and was informed that the warehouse only had four handicap carts. I did leave a review on the Costco website and received a response that two more carts had been ordered. Still trying to figure out why there would be so many handicap parking spaces but only four carts available. Two more carts is still insufficient in my opinion.
