“I visited this store and I immediately felt comfort and peace. I'm a Rastafari and I learned more from my visit. Everyone there is compassionate, overstanding and helpful. They are a true blessing from Jah. One Love❤??”
“Everyone that works here is absolutely amazing, and proceeds go to local youth in crisis with Immerse Arkansas. Beautiful clothes, jewelry, etc. that are within the past 5 years and not too far from Kanis Road either!”
“I went to the State Fair with my siblings and son in 2023. I had an AMAZING time! There are so many rides, games and snacks available for all ages. The lemonade and candy apples were some of the best I've ever had. Depending on your bank, your card may not work for their system but they do have ATMs available in case that happens!”
“I always visit the Rocket Lab for Small Business Saturday. They never disappoint! There are a variety of vendors offering a variety of products and services. It is a wonderful experience each time I go. A beautiful space set aside to promote local, small minority businesses!”
“Big store that is better kept compared to the others. At least it doesn't smell like your regular thrift store. The choices on apparel can also be good, since some are branded and if you're diligent and blessed enough, the branded dress may still have the original price tag on it. I got plenty of good condition books here. We even got slightly used Lazyboy office chairs for only $40 each. Saw them online at Lazy boy selling for more than $240!The staff are mostly nice. We visit every week now and we regularly find stuff that are of good value. Where else can you find office worthy branded clothes for $4.99 each only? No one will believe that the nice set of China plates and saucers we use are from this store for only less than $10! Thank you to all good hearted Arkansans who donate their good stuff to Goodwill!”
“EAST Initiative is an organization filled with people who truly care about education and are providing opportunities for students to learn about technology and connect with their communities in a positive manner through service based projects. I've been providing student trainings across a variety of topics related to photography since 2011 and can wholeheartedly say "EAST kids" are some of the most respectful, inquisitive, and hard working students I've ever encountered in my nearly two decade (2006-present) career as an educator. I love working the EAST staff, the "facilitators", the fellow "trainers", and the students. If you're a teacher or administrator of a school, check them out to see if you can get an EAST program in your school. If you're someone who supports technology education and community driven projects for students, then consider supporting EAST Initiative through a donation.”
“Had a pre-move pickup today and it went great! The guys were pleasant, efficient and careful with our things and home. They called ahead, arrived when they said, and oh, did I say there was a light rain? They were unfazed by it. How wonderful to know the donations help Habitat build homes for deserving families.”
“I toured the facility with Ceasar. He was very professional and helpful. This place is huge and well structure for services they provide. My son is excite to start attending classes.”
“Volunteered to help with the breakfast meal on Sunday. Very nice crew to work with in their nicely organized kitchen. Well organized and well prepared for those who come in and grab a hot meal. A nice place to volunteer and chat with the community.”
“Nice area, lots of space, provides relaxing and well equipped work space for individuals and businesses. We've had this new acceptance into the VCWomen program for 2024. I, as a mentor, look forward to sharing my business experience and strategies with the mentees.”
“Strolling through the lovely gardens and fountains at Heifer International this afternoon. I did some consulting for them a few years back, and they are, by far, my favorite non-profit. Starting with a shipment of 17 young female cows to Puerto Rico in 1944, HI has distributed healthy and very much-needed livestock such as cows, goats, sheep, bees, and water buffalo -- along with training and other resources -- to more than 105.1 million people in more than 125 countries. Their 2020 annual report sums up best why I love them so. "We believe that ending hunger and poverty begins by developing long-term solutions in partnership with the people we are serving. Through this work, we've helped empower more than 34 million families since our humble beginnings in 1944. When communities and other stakeholders are actively engaged in implementation and financing, projects are much more sustainable. This enables us to work on a deeper, more concentrated level, fostering robust economic markets that allow family members to earn a living income, so that the basic needs of everyone in the household are met. We have seen results in transforming the level of transparency, accountability, and innovation in the nonprofit world through block-chain technology. Our School Milk Program in the United Republic of Tanzania is providing milk for children who suffer from a lack of proper nutrition while creating a reliable market for producers. Through the Hatching Hope program, our partnership with Cargill is allowing farmers to expand poultry production and sell their products at market for a living income. We are highly committed to running an efficient and effective organization. We believe values-based partnerships and investments are necessary for long-term growth." Hells yes times ten. We very much need more organizations like this, and if you want to donate, or even share a story, they would love to hear from you. Next time you're in Little Rock, come check out Heifer International. It will not disappoint. In fact, tell them Jason sent you.”
“It's a great thing red cross is doing, I have always donated to them as my number 1 pick, and know I find myself being the person being helped thank you so much red cross for being there and helping me out”
“The best and comfortable place to buy second-hand and very good brand clothes, even with labels.
Cashiers and staff in general are distinguished by their kindness.
I already want to return again”
“So, so kind and helpful. Had to surrender three little stray kittens we found abandoned by their mom (had to be 4-5 weeks old). We could not take care of them because we read they need to be fed so frequently at that age and we both work. Staff/volunteers were kind and understanding. So thankful to Humane Society of Pulaski County for taking them in. Glad to know that they will taken care of and re-homed.”
“Newly renovated office building. Small meeting space for Arkansas Department of Education Board of Directors. Closed circuit television outside board room to accommodate extra meeting attendees. Parking is a distance on an open parking lot. It is a minihike to get to ADE Building, so be sure to have an umbrella if rain is forecast. Otherwise, you will get soaked to the bone because of the lengthy walk.”
“This is definitely the best Goodwill in Little Rock. Great variety of product. Love the staff. My cashier, Andie, i think, was really patient as I tried to short my purchases.”
“It's a place that brings the community together. A safe haven for young people to go. Would like to see more activities like music, foreign language and so on to build confidence and bring different culture together.”
“This place is still the nicest and cleanest spot in West Little Rock to walk around and relax. I am glad that you're really putting an effort into stopping the smash and grabs that seem to plague Pulaski County.”
