My lizard wasnt eating for two months, They diagnosed her and gave us food that wouldnt hurt her and by the time we got home we had her eating again. Everyone was really nice. Thank you so much. Fairly priced for exotic animals.

Working at Chenal was the best work experience I ever had because there are actually people who have the same goal & desires as you do for animals. But I gave 2 stars because my experience start to go down hill when the management & ownership caters to certain employees, listens to only one side of the story, and picks on employees/coworkers who stand up and finally say something. I will miss all of my clients and my coworkers who I've become friends with.

The staff played super loud music that I could hear through the thin walls when I had to put my pet down. I would think the front office staff would communicate with them to turn it down while we went through a very hard moment. I won't be coming back for my other animals. They made a hard moment very traumatizing.

Absolutely amazing place! Helped with my Great Dane diagnosing his cancer and helping with getting the surgery afterwards. Big love here!

Do not leave your animal with them to “get checked out” by the vet and have grooming done at the same time. This place has, in my eyes, been extremely dishonest.
I was told I could drop off my animal in the morning to have all of their services done, including: grooming, new patient/health evaluation, vaccines, and evaluation for chronic diarrhea.
I was called later that afternoon to come pick up my animal and was told the total was $65. When I questioned the low price, I was told the only service rendered was grooming. The front desk asked me for clarity on what I needed done/has asked for, advising me it was not properly communicated in their system when the appointment was made, and then went back to the back, came back up within a few minutes and told me that they were administering the vaccines and my animal would be out soon. Soon, my total went from $65 to over $300. ALL OF THE SUDDEN they had stool test results back (that were of course “negative”) and the exam had magically been completed. I was told the vet would call me and answer any questions I had, but this was never done- even after calling multiple times to speak with her I was never called back.
5 days after the visit I tried to call again to get advice on the chronic diarrhea my animal was experiencing and was only able to speak to the front desk lady who advised me to get some probiotics from Petsmart. After 3 weeks this issue has still not cleared up and I have had to take my animal to another local vet to address this issue.
When the NEW local vet requested medical records on my animal the only thing that was sent over was a list of services performed (basically the $300+ bill I paid for nothing). No lab values, no physical exam, nothing.
I am in the medical field… taking care of people, not animals, but regardless of who or what you medically treat- if it wasn’t charted, it wasn’t done.
This place is absolutely negligent and lazy. If you do bring your animal here, don’t drop them off in the morning to get all services done- stay with them at all times. They should be ashamed at their level of neglect, lack of empathy, and dishonesty.
Update: took my animal to another vet and confirmed parasites, which confirms my suspicion about the stool test being charged for, but not complete.

They were absolutely AMAZING!!! I came in with a bearded dragon I had found at a park abandoned. I had, had him for a week at that point and he was having issues, he was very malnourished and weak and sick and the Vet came out and took him right back for me and helped me with xrays and medication and ended up not charging me a penny because of just the pure love they have for animals and the fact that baby was so sick and I was trying to rescue him and save his life. They were so kind from the moment I walked in. I HIGHLY recommend them to ANYONE!!!

Would not give me a payment plan for my sick kitty. Sometimes, doctors/ veterinarians need to put the need of the patient ( cat) first instead of being focused on the finances. The reason why they are in that profession in the first place is to save lives.

Friendly, expert dog grooming at reasonable prices. Holly’s beaming personality is worth the trip to Chenal Valley Animal Hospital for grooming. Try it…you will like it!

Young and nice staff, a little inexperienced and needs more training and better coaching in customer service. They are trying to do the best they can, one less star for lack of management oversight.

So far we only use their grooming. We are most likely making a switch very soon. The staff there are amazing and very friendly. After being banned from 4 major grooming salons, we had to turn to a place that did sedated grooming. They wanted to try a groom without, before sedating him. Not sure how, but they have the magic touch. He still hates being groomed (he's very old), but they haven't needed to sedate him and he always looks adorable. So glad I found them. They are more than worth the drive for us.
