I have lived at Bowman Pointe for three years, and during this time, I have submitted nine reports for dishwasher repairs, with no resolution. The dishwasher has not functioned properly for over a year, and despite my efforts, I’ve had no choice but to stop using it. Unfortunately, Destin Management has been unresponsive. They give the impression that addressing these issues is a favor to us, even though we are paying $1,800 per month. It feels as if we're being done a favor by being allowed to live here.
In addition, I have filed five reports about the refrigerator, which freezes in the back and doesn’t work correctly. The maintenance team came out and said they weren’t sure what the issue was, and as a result, I’ve lost groceries on three separate occasions. Again, Destin has not taken action.
There was also a shooting near Building 14, and no notification was provided to residents. Throughout the summer, the pool at Building 14 had people from outside the community using it daily, yet management seemed more concerned with minor issues like speaker volume. Meanwhile, cars have been broken into, and no community alerts or actions have been taken.
The new management is disappointing, which likely explains the high turnover in office staff. Community entertainment has significantly declined compared to my first year here, and for nearly $2,000 a month, the value no longer feels justified. The property may look nice at first, but appearances are not enough to make this a worthwhile place to live.
