Dr Guntharp and his staff have taken wonderful care of our fur baby Simon for years. Today we had to let Simon transition and Dr Strickland and staff were wonderful. We are very sad but very thankful for our years of joy with our boy and for Dr Guntharp. ?????

My cat was having a problem and Dr. Hanna got us in right away and gave Boots a through examination. She gave him a shot and sent us home with medication to be taken orally twice a day.

We’ve been taking our cats here for a while, and they’ve always been wonderful. They’ll treat your pets like their own.

Literally won’t even add a chip to a pet or even tell you who else in town can do it then just constantly sends me junk emails when repetitively asks to stop after they have said they won’t even see a pet for a small chip insertion. If you are not going to see pets then STOP bothering people.

I’m on my 4th and 5th pet with JFPH. I recently adopted two senior dogs and couldn’t wait for JFPH to see them for their first visit. I’ve been with JFPH since 1989. They helped two of my prior fur babies over the rainbow bridge and they were exceptional in their care. Of course, selecting a vet is similar to selecting a doctor, church or a daycare: no one likes them all and you have to search for the right fit. JFPH has always been the right fit for me.

As always, the staff at JFPH is fantastic! From reception to check out, our pets are well cared for! Accredited with AAHA, JFPH practices medicine in a way that reduces anxiety for the pets which in turn reduces my anxiety as a pet guardian! While I cannot speak to other vets in the area, I wholeheartedly endorse JFPH!

Everyone here was so kind during the process of getting our pet cremated. The lady who helped us really went above and beyond. We left very satisfied with the way they handled our pup and I’d recommend JFPH to anyone.

Response to Jonesboro Pet: You wouldn't be able to find me as this is a different Gmail account than what is registered with your system. You had an entire year to "look into it". When I brought up my concern initially, you had the opportunity to be truthful and take responsibility then. Really, there wasn't anything that could be done to 'make things right' if nothing changed in over a year under your care. Not even filling a malpractice report would do anything to help my dog. This review is my way to move on from the traumatizing experience you caused my dog and me. I want people to know what happened. He is being cared for properly at his new vet now and has been doing great.I got my senior dogs teeth cleaned here 2 years ago. Two days after being under anesthesia, he had his first seizure. He has not had one since. When I brought him back as an emergency, they checked him and said he had an enlarged heart which can make him prone to seizures. They did not say this was because of the anesthesia but simply 'something that happens with age'. They even denied it was because of his cleaning procedure because 'too much time passed for that to be it'. However, they didn't want to put him on seizure medicine and instead opted for blood thinners. After a year of him being on this medicine, with routine checkups that included 'good' bloodworks, I noticed he had slowly stopped eating food and would vomit every few days. He was also lethargic and losing weight. At this point, I took him to a vet closer to my home for a second opinion. I was told that he has a very obvious heart murmer, noticeable with a stethoscope, and he should not have been placed under anesthesia as it can stay in the system for upwards of 2 days and cause issues for dogs with heart conditions. They said his condition isn't severe enough to need medication and that the blood thinner he was taking was constantly bottoming out his blood pressure. Per their recommendation, I took my dog off the medication and he immediately improved. They also recommended diet changes and told me the percentage of heart enlargement, information Jonesboro Pet didn't offer. This experience tells me that Jonesboro Family Pet Hospital was negligent in the care of my dog.I will never take another animal to them.

I took both of my boys in for shots and Dr Guntharp found a tumor on that got by me and he had to have a pretty bad surgery and it could have came out BAD, but it came out OUTSTANDING, they called the next day to see how he was doing. This PET HOSPITAL gives better care than me and my wife get at NEA BAPTIST or ST BERNARDS. It might make better hospitals for people if these people hospitals send some of their staff to work at the PET HOSPITAL so Jonesboro will have a decent hospital for people. 5+ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have been going here since relocating from Japan. Our Shiba Inu are OUR treasures as well as Japans! The Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with us. They treat and care for Simba & Rhea as if they were their own. The exam rooms are clean. Once seated in the rooms everything is done in the exam room to include payments. Our little one needs special attention and they take care of her personally in the private doctors office! The is a play/potty area on the side of the building that is well maintained. The prices are a little bit more than what we are use to, however the service, quality and care are beyond approach! I wish there was another office closer to us! But they have everything you may need and want here. The boarding area and playground were clean and did NOT smell! This is a place of pride and professionalism where the continue to teach and learn across the board!!!! We thank you very much!!!

I had an issue with this place of business, I am changing back to a 5 due to the issue was actually with the answering service that was a separate entity and the vets office has fixed the original problem. I have used this vet for over 20 years, and have only had 2 issues with them that they corrected very quickly. They care for your animals and you! All of the vets are wonderful with my animals! I do apologize for the original bad review. Thank you so much Jonesboro Family Pet Hospital and to Dr. Guntharp who cared enough to correct the issue!
