Update 8/12/22: The bank reached out to me to discuss the matter and apologized for their missing this in the first place. I reached out to the bank that placed the charge off on my record years ago and they said it was a mistake on their part it seems due to the fact that it was paid when the account was closed. Paula was very professional and understanding. She granted me the original account that I had opened. After this, I have decided to continue with my account and give them another shot. Updated the review from ⭐ to ⭐⭐⭐⭐My son opened a checking account in June and added me so I could access his account if needed when he goes to college this year. I opened a separate checking account in July. Got a phone call today saying that the account I opened in July didn't qualify for free checking because I had a charge off at another bank from 2018. Mind you, I have accounts at other banks and none of them have said this. They tell me they have to switch my account over to one where I am billed $10 per month. I declined and said I would come in the next day and close out my account. They froze my account and locked my debit card so I couldn't have access to my money. How rude. Won't be back. And won't recommend either. Terrible customer service. My son will be closing his account too.

Why does it take centennial a whole other business day for my check to be in my account but other banks its as soon as you deposit it, the money is in there?

I use an out of state Federal Credit Union, which has no branches in Arkansas. It’s not like I can just run by there for something as simple as getting a large bill broke. Well, apparently you can’t do that at Centennial without an account! Here’s my question: if banks are the public’s primary access to federal reserve notes, then why can’t I simply trade one large bill for five smaller ones without having an account, or better yet without having to give you personal information just to trade a piece of paper? What are people who aren’t from around here or don’t use a local bank supposed to do for a simple matter that has no need for an account? Oh! What about people with, say, money orders, cashier’s checks or traveler’s checks? How do you cash those without them having an account? Ridiculously poor customer service for a bank claiming to be customer focused. What if I am moving here and was considering this bank? Wouldn’t be now!!

I'm very disappointed with Centennial Bank. My brother passed away while on vacation, I called the bank to let them know what happened and that I was traveling to the city and state where my brother was. I called them so they wouldn't decline any charges while I was there. When I tried paying the funeral home for the services they provided and his cremation the card was declined and now I cannot use my card at all. This happened before and the bank said to call in the future and let them know when I'm going to use the card out of my normal charging area. How embarrassing it is to be told by the funeral director that my card has been declined. This is the last time Centennial will leave me stranded with no access to funds while out of state. Grieving the loss of my brother should be enough to deal with without having to deal with this.Today's a holiday so nothing can be done till tomorrow.

I’m sorry for the bad reviews but I have to be honest. If you are looking for a lender. DON’T GO TO AMY TURNER. When she worked at supreme lending we went up there and she was nice and everything. My wife had a collection in her credit score and she told me not to pay for it and leave it on there. Like seriously... so we paid the collections and my wife scored just sooo high. Me and my wife have finally bought a house from USA Mortgage and working with them is great! But Amy is nice but even tho she changed jobs from another company it falls back on the company that hired her.

Rated 1 of 5 for WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.I moved back to Texas and left this account open to have transfers too through one of my businesses.Every single time I need to get ahold of this bank, you have to wait 30 minutes to 1 hour to get someone on the phone. This is a PROFESSIONAL BANK for crying out loud. You expect people to wait 1 hour on a telephone just to speak to a rep, like people don't have lives.Your a professional BANK, it's called "HIRE SOMEONE TO ANSWER TELEPHONE CALLS."

I lost my wife's debit card and Centennial Bank refused to give her another one (said she had too many issued) so our account to were messed up because wife could get her money and I went to the. Chairman John Allison who didn't do anything. A week later they told my wife she could have just one more card- THEY ARE PUBLICALLY TRADED. HOMB ON NASDAQ. SELL BECAUSE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS.

This bank couldn't be more useless. I recently moved to a city where the nearest branch is 3 hours away. Wouldn't you think that the tellers and customer service help would be understanding of this when dealing with issues? Yes, but you would be wrong. I recently got my wallet stolen and when I needed a new card they said I would have to come in and get it in person. If I didn't come in person I would have to wait two weeks until they could mail out a new card. To say this bank is behind on the times is an understatement. Adhering to customers that aren't local anymore is a part of customer service, but that's clearly not something they understand. I don't recommend anyone to bank with centennial bank unless you're never going to move out of your city. This is ridiculous, it is 2020 Centennial, progress needs to be made.
