My family and I have had several cats cared for at this very pricey establishment, things like fixing, shots and wormed even had 2 put down cause of terminal illness. Yesterday I call to have four Rx of flea meds fax to Kroger where I get cheaper cat meds due to a program I enrolled in. This woman calls me back and with a snobby tone says we don't give written or faxed Rx's to get filled where ever you want! I was speechless, so I guess you do that to have a monopoly over all your customers. She said I'm sorry that's how it is. I'm gonna pray for them.

Overdosed my dog with anesthesia, never fully recovered. Did not follow up after they knew he had major recovery issues but did lie and say they did try to call us but they did not. Also Poisoned him with Carprofen. We let Dr Zackary know that our dog was having problems with balance after being on Carprofen while but she said it was because his ears were dirty, but it turns out the Carprofen was causing major side effects that are easily found online. We were never informed of the possible side effects to look for and when informing the doctor of the problems our dog was having she never advised us to stop the medications. As a doctor she should know and inform clients of the side effects of a drug and when a client tells her those effects she as a doctor should know to tell us to stop the medicine but she did not. We ended up having to put our amazing dog down because of the negligence. We watched him go through major suffering that ripped our hearts out. There are law suits against drug makers of Carprofen and vets alike. Our boy suffered severely because of negligence. Don't trust your doctors, just do your own research.

I have used AMC in the past, so when I got my pitbull I returned to them. Cooper gets so excited when we pull up to the hospital. We both love the staff, as they are always so nice. They obviously love their jobs. They genuinely care about Cooper and it shows. Dr. Huff gets down in the floor and touches him the entire visit. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Dr. Zachary was able to quickly diagnose my dogs skin condition. With treatment, my dog is back to her normal self!

I write this review with mixed feelings. Until today, we were extremely happy with AMC. They've taken great care of our dog and seemed to be competent. My cat was scheduled in today for an update on a vaccine and teeth cleaning. Prior to scheduling this appointment we had visited the clinic for my cat's vaccine in which we discussed the drs proposed plan and decided, with whoever helped us that day, that we would only give my cat one vaccine and that the others were not necessary. They took my cat back, but could not remove her from her crate. To which we then decided, after consulting with a new person, that they could do the vaccine at the same time she was under anesthesia for her teeth cleaning. So that is what we chose we would do and thought everything was settled, a new day scheduled, and our wishes noted. When my sister and daughter dropped my cat off, my daughter mentioned to whoever was helping them that it was one vaccine, teeth cleaning, etc. And was obviously ignored. They gave my cat all of the vaccines they recommended in their original estimate, ignoring our wishes and then blaming my sister for agreeing to it. I was so upset with the fact that my cat was given treatment that we had explicitly indicated we did not want. I was even more upset that they lied and tried to tell us that we had agreed to it, when my sister was only instructed to drop my cat off, confiding that we had communicated with our cat's veterinary care team our wishes beforehand. The fact that they took the charges off doesn't undo how upset I feel about not being able to trust them with my animals, the communication issues and that they basically told us we agreed to it, when we did not. When I asked how I could communicate my wishes with regard to my animal's care better, the answer was that I should personally drop them off instead. Wow. Incompetence. Also, apparently I spoke to someone (during the first vaccine visit attempted) who doesn't work there...

You walk in and everyone is very helpful! We did not have to wait very long to get in. They treat our dog as if she belongs to them!

I can't say enough about the professionalism and compassion of the veterinarians and staff of Animal Medical Center. Dr. Zachary has given excellent care and treatment for our Westie for more than ten years. She has made herself available anytime we need her, even for an emergency visit at midnight on Saturday!
