I’m so glad I found them. They were able to fit my puppy in on a busy Saturday! The doctor and assistant was very knowledgeable and patient to a new pet parent and all my questions. The whole experience was wonderful. So many options and I’m glad I chose them.

So I took my 10 year old Yorkie in because she had gotten under foot of my pit/boxer and he stepped on her. I knew this place from Dr. Meeshac but He has apparently let others take over operations and they have destroyed the place. She was hurt and they did at least help her. After an enormous bill She also left with worms and a particular skin mite called scabies. She went from a beautiful little long hair pup to having NO hair and so stuffed with worms she cant eat enough. We're still battling the results of her visit to this desolate perversion of what WAS a good pet doc. So I say use at your poor pets risk...they're trying to say it was something WE did to top it all off, like she wasnt gorgeous and without worms for the TEN previous years. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET! JUST THE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET.

I just relocated to Little Rock from Florida and I needed to find a good vet for my little fur friend. Jacksonville Animal Hospital was recommended to me. Because of Covid, they are asking people to wait in their cars while their pets are seen inside. My dog was acting like he did not feel well after we moved up. I was also concerned about some cloudiness in one of his eyes. The vet squeezed me in and asked me to arrive at 8 o'clock this morning. I waited in the parking lot with my dog for two hours before they brought him inside. I am assuming the wait would not be that long if they hadn't been kind enough to squeeze me in. The vet called about 45 minutes after they took him inside. She explained everything that was happening with my dog and suggested next steps. She was professional and caring. The staff was also polite. As long as the wait isn't so long next time, I'll absolutely come back.

Warning: if your pet needs urgent care do not bring them here. Our dog began struggling to breathe so we rushed him over to this clinic. We called before hand and the person on the phone acted like we were putting them out by them squeezing us in. They finally took him into the clinic (they have strange social distancing measures-instead of coming to your vehicle to get your pet, they just call you to come wait at the front door with your pet along with all of the other people congregating with their pets Lol). The vet did not thoroughly check our dog. He took a look at his gums then promptly pronounced him in jaundice with a liver disease that had already reached his kidneys and that he would not make it through the night. He came out to the vehicle and gave us the news with the most cavalier attitude as if he was reporting the weather to us. My SIL's eyes were red from crying and he just did not care. He told us to put our dog to sleep but it was our decision to make and went inside. I called the front desk to ask if we could be with him when it happened. She told me that one person could be with him if they choose. My MIL went. They blocked her from going all the way and she couldn't even be with him as he took his last breath all alone with a stranger who did not care about him one bit. I hope he wasn't scared. I hope he knew we loved him. I hope he was somehow comforted. He was a GOOD dog. He deserved to go to sleep forever feeling safe in our arms. And I HOPE that he truly needed to be put to sleep and we didn't just put our dog down for something that could be treated. Jacksonville Clinic, his name was Leroy and we're the Melton's. Covid will pass but we'll always remember how our dog died alone bc of your callousness. To anyone needing urgent care, go to Kiehl Ave Animal Clinic. They saved my pup from parvo, they saved my cat from kidney failure and told me to bring him in right away when I called about him. They truly care about the animals and their owners there.

I really love their new place. It's very neat and clean at all times. This is a great place for boarding. Very affordable and clean. My dog doesn't come home smelling like a dirty dog. Lots of other places, I have to bath my dog before I let her loose in the house cause she stinks so bad. But not here. The only reason I don't give 5 Stars is because of their inconsistency. I've never had a dog before. I know Nothing about what dogs need on a regular basis. That's why I told the techs that if we need any specific treatment, on my part as far as....example I used.....fleas and ticks, then I will need to be educated as to what type of treatment and when. My dog is a full breed but we rescued her at 4 months. Since she is registered with the Kennel Club, the previous owners did provide me with her health records showing her past treatments. Like heart worms, and all the shots and blood work ever done. I was told she was fine on everything. I then take her in a year later because she seems to be getting thin. I was told she was fine, she was just maturing and losing her baby fat. I then take her back the next week or so for shots and I'm told she's too skinny and somethings wrong! Hello! I was ignored and put off a week earlier only to be given the news that they need to do tests and such. I was upset because I have always asked and looked for their guidance in my dog's treatment. Needless to say they preceded to tell me my dog was "ate up" with heart worms! How did this happen? Of course they were more than happy to give us a "Treatment Plan" for thousands of dollars! But the most outrageous? Telling me to keep her from getting excited or running during this treatment! Seriously? A 14 month old dog not get her heart rate up?? Might as well put her in a drug induced coma! We gave her the first round of strong antibiotics. Around the same time the FDA came out saying all the fancy and expensive food we have been feeding her had too many grains or something in it and was causing bad side effects in dogs. Like my dog was having!! Wheezing and coughing. We changed her food and she did a complete turnaround! Needless to say she did not need the heart worm treatment! Every Vet I've ever gone to, for dog or cat, ALWAYS does a rectal sampling. This place does not, even when you ask! Double check what you are getting in that expensive yearly check-up! Other than shots I don't know if they really do anything else! Hence my dog Should Not have ever been suspected of Heart Worms if they would do a proper annual check-up. Especially since every visit the pet owner ask if there something she should be taking, preventative wise, other than flea and tick! That's your cue to educate your clients and ask some questions, not shove them out the door. I also paid for her nails to be trimmed twice, and never got the service or refund, because my dog would whimper and act like a baby about getting her nails cut. Plus they won't let one of us go to the back and assist with the nail trim. My dog is super smart and figured out if she whimpered and moaned they wouldn't cut her nails. I was so angry. So now my husband does it with absolutely no problem. She will try to whimper but we tell her no and continue on with the trim. So this is a good vets office- However you just have to pay attention to details! You have to ask questions and ask the RIGHT questions.

I had to bring our dog, Nicky, in yesterday because he was having seizures, what an incredible group of people. We have been patients for a few years but I have never needed to see them for anything other than normal checkups & such. From Ryanna who took my call to Jess & Dr. Larousse & Angela who helped, I was so happy with how we were treated. Very compassionate & helpful, as well as thorough. I can't say enough!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I've been using this vet for a while now. My German Shepherd got attacked and I called at 4:35 when they close at 5:30. I was told that "we probably won't be here when you get here so take her to after hours vet". Wth? It takes less than 15 min to get there. I get it's almost closing but some compassion would have been nice. My sweet Karma passed away so they probably couldn't have helped. But to not even act like you care it heartless. We will be changing vets.

Such an outstanding clinic! This is our second time visiting with them and I have to say, wow! They really go above and beyond. The care provided there is great - not rushed at all. The vet really took his time and we once again were super impressed. By far one of the nicest vet clinics we've taken our pups too ever. The price for care is very reasonable! Highly recommend.

****UPDATE 8/21/19**** 4 months ago, following this situation, the clinic manager, Polly, spoke to me over the phone. She was not interested in listening to my concern about how I was mistreated by the vet tech. Instead, she insisted that after reviewing the footage of the vet tech w/me in the examination room, she came to the conclusion that I was not yelled at. Instead of addressing the concerns I had, she was hyper focused about my Google review. I thanked her for at least reaching out to me, even though nothing was resolved It's been 4 months since this incident, & Polly called me today at 11am regarding the Google review yet again! This feels like harassment. One of my dogs was seen by JAH, & so Polly called me, insisting that if they're taking care of my dog, I should remove this Google review. My husband & I took this up w/ Jody, the personnel that runs JAH. She used profane language, stating, "we work our asses off here.." I could not believe what I was hearing. She also insisted that I should not have this Google review up if they're going to be seeing to the care of my dog. She & Polly both disregarded the main issue going on at JAH-disrespect & mistreatment towards loyal customers, & intimidating people into backing down if they want to honestly share negative experiences. She told us that they have the right to refuse service, & that if I choose to leave my review up on Google, that I should find another veterinarian. Fortunately, we've already been transferring everything to Boyd Vet. Clinic. I am at least grateful I could express my concerns so that hopefully, other customers aren't treated this way. Vet care can be stressful, but you, as the customer, shouldn't have to deal with this kind of mistreatment! I hope this helps anyone making decisions about where to take their pets.

Updated review--- I have been a client since they were at their old location. I have an older dog with severeseizures. They have been clipping his nails for years. Suddenly today, they will no longer do that unless he has a checkup and has all of his shots. He had a check up several months back so that I could talk to the dr about shots. She had no problem with his severe seizures to skip them. Then 2 months ago, he was up there because he was so sick from seizures. Today, they said he had to have a checkup????? I have no idea what is going on up there but they lost a loyal customer today. Besides me having done everything the vet has ever said, she phone staff was rude and acted as if they were doing me a favor. Now I need a new vet--one that actually listens and remembers conversations that were had about the health of my dog instead of just being money hungry....geez---do you guys not make enough with stealing from people?
