I went to their ATM and withdrew $20.00 and then went thru the drive-thru to exchange it for two rolls of quarters.I was asked if I had an account there and I don't because my husband is a lineman and we are living in our camper here for the next 3 months. I was told that because I didn't have an account there, I couldn't exchange the $20 for anything because it might be counterfeit, and they wouldn't have an account to tie it back to. I asked if they had a counterfeit pen or machine to run the $20 thru, and she said yes... but it's their policy that you must be an account holder. Now I got the $20 out of their ATM machine, so don't you think they would have already checked it? If I ever did end up living here, I certainly wouldn't get an account here. I went up the street to Equity Bank and told them the story. She marked the $20 with her counterfeit pen, and I received my 2 rolls of quarters. All I wanted was some quarters to do our laundry . Sorry, Bank Ozark, you get a 1 star for the weirdest policy that makes no common sense at all.

Bank OZK staff is rude and will steal from you. They refuse to issue debit cards by phone or at branches. The managers are rude. If you try to complain, there is no one to complain to and no accountability. They lie after they steal and continue to get away with it. When you point out that they are being nasty, they will slam the door in your face!

TERRIBLE BANK!I opened an account that had a $10 fee because they didn't like my history of jumping from shitty bank to shitty bank. I paid the fee for a year, whatever, have $120, now I'm a customer. When I needed a debit card, they had an excuse every time I went to the branch, they wouldn't make me one. I called the 800 number, they wouldn't mail it, they said go to the branch. Ok, I'll just use cashapp to get around it.Then I went to cash a check and for no reason, with no warning, they closed my account and I'd have to open a new one, but no one could do it that day. 9 months later, today, the call center says "the branch manager has more power than us" so I called the massive BM, she left early. The rude assistant GM demanded to know who I was and why I wanted the GM, so she clearly doesn't want complaints going to the next level. I hung up on her because she hasn't been able to help me yet, so she called me back to yell at me about how she is going to help me. After 9 months? No. Its a constant run around with this bank. I tried. I have tried being nice. I tried proper channels. This bank doesn't care.

So I go to cash a check today that someone wrote to me at the drive through, the check was written from bank OZK account holder. I gave my drivers license and sent it in to get it cashed. I was told I had to come in to get the check cashed. I was then asked to give them my date of birth, last 4 of my ssn, thumb print, drivers license number, and my phone number. On a check written to ME, not written by me. SSN is NEVER supposed to be used as a form of ID per Our former president FDR. This bank is not authorized to have my personal information, as I don't, nor will I ever bank with them. I was told if I stole the check or if someone else stole the check and wrote it to me, it will come back on me. Isn't there insurance a bank has for this. Isn't this also why we choose to use a bank to protect our investment. I do question legality here.
