“Made a pit stop here and found that this place is a local favorite. Spoke with a few people about the area while enjoying a cool drink and looking at all the neat stuff they have for sale. Although I didn't need gas, it still was a great time spent learning about the area and meeting people. The staff were friendly and helpful as were the other locals I spoke with, and I almost forgot that I needed to head on down the road. If you're heading toward Alpena, stop by and get what you need, stretch your legs, get a cool drink and visit! They will help you enjoy your time there and see that you are heading in the right direction. Small town hospitality at its finest.”

It took about an hour for our food to arrive, which can be frustrating, especially for hungry diners. Additionally, the star of their menu, the burger, was a disappointment. It was cooked much harder than I would have preferred.The rest of the food was just average. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't anything particularly special.Overall, Hatman's Hangout is a decent option for a casual meal, especially if you have kids who will enjoy the arcade. However, if you're looking for a standout burger or a quick bite, you might want to consider another restaurant.”
