The rooms were clean and comfortable but run down a bit. Breakfast was not good.> Powdered salty eggs> Greasy fatty sausage patties> Biscuits and gravy> Orange juice out of their machine was not drinkable and had to throw it out> Oatmeal packets with different flavors but no fixings for anyone wanting plain oatmeal.> Waffle maker was decent

Friendly staff, okay breakfast, clean facility but it was noisy (we heard the washing machines and people upstairs all night) and the beds were the least comfortable of any La Quinta I’ve stayed at.

This hotel needs a total makeover everything os outdated. It was the most miserable night I ever experienced at a hotel. The train comes through every hour blasting it's horn so sleep is definitely out of the question. There are fast food restaurants nearby so you can get coffee in the a.m. which you'll need. Until the corporation guts and remodels this one I would pass it by.

Elevator quit on us! Thankfully we could get out. Certificate in Elevator is expired. Can sodas have to be bought at front desk. They're $2.00 each for a regular size canned soda! Shower head is not movable at all. Still needs more up to date renovations in some areas. Pool is on 4' 12" deep. And it's kinda pricey. Over $100 per night!!

Perfect spot for exploring downtown Fort Smith. Everything is clean, everyone is super nice and helpful. Special shout out to Jacob at the front desk and Zeniah(probably spelled that wrong, sorry) in housekeeping. They both went above and beyond. Definitely making this place my preferred hotel in the area. Thanks a bunch!

stayed here for work training 7-25 through 7-26 and I found a bed bug in my bed. the hotel was full so I could t be moved the third floor is being renovated so there is construction going on but the rooms are still being rented. kids running up and down the hall who belong to the workers here all day and night. side door was not locking so there was little security in that. refrigerator was dirty and so was seating on sofa. And the plumbing issue with water running slow then fast and toilet not secure to floor

During my stay, there was constant pounding and running upstairs that lasted until after 10:30pm Extremely loud and very annoying...even scared my little dog. I spoke to front desk clerk about it but it continued til after 11pm. Then it started back up again the next morning at 7:30am. Their WiFi in the room was horrible! Usually only 1-2 bars. The day front desk clerk was courteous and helpful, however the phone at the desk was on "voicemail" most of the time and no one would answer. I had to walk to the desk to talk to anyone. The pool was quite small. The breakfast was plentiful. The TV remote did not work very well, I had to constantly press & press buttons very hard to get it to react. The room had dead flies on the floor when I first entered. I asked if the room had been cleaned that day. I was told yes. All in all, I rate it 3 stars out of 5.

Checked in 5-1-23, at 11:00am Lady at the front desk unknowingly was the best part of the stay. At 7:45pm my wife and I tried to go to sleep, as we had been driving since midnight Sunday night. That's when the problems started. The guest in the room next to us had brought a dogwith them. And the dog began baking. The dog apparently was a big dog due to the sound of his bark. I called the front desk to complain. The lady at the front desk, who was a different Lady than checked us in. Told me sorry we are a pet friendly hotel, and that he was only baking because she had just went to that room. She never assured me in any way. Finally after continously hearing the dog bark, I went to the front desk @ 10:30pm (almost 3 hours later) when I arrived at the front desk there was a woman standing there waiting for the lady working the front desk to come inside from smoking. That woman was there to complain about the dog as well. After speaking to the lady working the front desk, and having her call the property manager (Pete) all they would do is check us out. So @ 10:45pm me and my wife had to check out and go across the street and check in to the Best Western. I did have the room charge removed from my credit card. However I feel they care more about pets than paying customers. I wish we would have just went to the BW to begin with, lot better looking and smelling property and I was assured they have a policy that if a guest with a dog could not keep thier dog under control, they would be asked to check out and leave the property. THAT'S WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED AT LA QUINTA!Very unprofessional and NO care for customers. Wish I could leave 0 stars, they don't even deserve 1 star. Phillip Bird.Noteworthy details: Worst hotel stay ever!

This place is one step up from a motel six. It would've been nice if they would've said that they were under renovation and possibly not use the floor that they were renovating. The room was old and half decorated and frankly just nasty. The whole place is dilapidated. It is a stopover for mini worker so they get up at 5 AM and I was loud as they can be in the hallways acting like they are living at their own private home, and the elevator was scary to say the least I can never believe that I stayed in a hotel that had no carpet in the hallways. No door jams, I asked three times not to have my room cleaned or disturbed while I was gone and every day they cleaned it we will not be back. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable

Let me preface this review by saying that I am a fan of the La Quinta chain, having stayed in many of them over the past 20+ years. They offer clean accommodations and courteous, efficient service, all at reasonable, family-friendly rates. I also like the fact that should it be necessary for me to travel with my two small dogs, I may bring them along with me. I have honestly never had a bad experience with them until now. Last week, my husband, father, and I traveled to Fort Smith, Arkansas to attend funeral services for a dear family friend. The lodging options were severely limited due to a biker rally in the town that weekend. Fortunately, La Quinta had two rooms available for us. Even though my husband and I have had the good fortune to be able to stay in high-end hotels over the past 20 years, we knew that La Quinta would offer not only great value but top notch accommodations. The moment we walked into the lobby, my heart dropped. There was a stench in the lobby and it looked dingy and unclean. We had to wait for about 15 minutes for the desk clerk to check us in. She said that she was the only person working in the hotel that weekend, acting as both desk clerk and maid. There were basically no services at all. When we got to our rooms, my husband and I discovered that our in-room phone did not work, the shower did not work, the bathroom stank and was not freshly cleaned, and the linens smelled musty. My father's room had the same cleanliness (or should I say non-cleanliness) issue and his television did not work. We were all disheartened, but given that there was literally nothing else available anywhere in town, we decided to stick it out. Trying to call the front desk about room problems was futile -- the woman never answered the phone. We decided that after the funeral services the next day, we would leave, drive to Dallas and stay there that night to break up the drive back to Houston. Given that La Quinta had always had a stellar reputation, the Fort Smith location was a bitter disappointment. Granted, the rate was not expensive, but it is still money I wish I had not needed to spend. I will never stay at this location again and I will be leery of staying at any other La Quinta property in the future.

Great place to stay, very quite neighborhood. This place is centrally located for amazing shopping and tons of food choices, you have an Outback Steakhouse directly in front of the hotel.Room was clean and staff was very friendly. We'll be coming back here often.Rooms: Good sized rooms with all the amenities you need. Beds was super comfortable.Nearby activities: Shopping and food are right out your door. Downtown is a 5 min drive away for concerts and axe throwing.
