Today I was fired because after the lead driver in Joplin Jared McCool told me he didn't see me do something that I did I didn't do it. He continually second guessed every decision I made such as what street I turned right on. Told me I needed to relearn to drive because I drove to the right near the white line. I have 25 years experience not 5 like Jared. He constantly treated me like I had no experience and made me feel very insecure I feel like I worked in a hostile environment and was targeted from day 1

This place has a racism problem ..and my nephew dajuan worked here they lie about everything and hide everything from Russell metals ..raises etc. Russell metals need to bring their own staff here ..also the production manager is very unprofessional….if your an African American don’t work here …

They have a complete new saw team that are efficient and precise on every order. The team works hard on every order to get them ready for delivery before the scheduled due date. Every order is important to them no matter how small or how complicated the order is. I have watched this team working and it is impressive to see how they work together to help each other, and to do their jobs in a safe manner so that everyone goes home to their family.

I worked at Boyd Metals for a year and a half. This was the most dangerous job I have ever had and most of my career was spent in oil refineries or in heavy industrial construction as an industrial electrician (some of the most dangerous work out there). I was made lead of the "Cooley" after 6 months. I never received any hands on training on any of the equipment even though I was made to illegally sign paperwork saying I was. I saw broken eye sockets, broken legs, multiple broken fingers, broken 10 ton chains, flipped trailers, googly eyes on safety glasses..... I could go on and on. It was difficult after working in a culture of safety. You had to really not care about yourself or your family in order to work there. So if you have no humanity left in you it's a great place to work.

Everyone was nice and respectful, but nobody knows what’s going on because you’ll talk to a half dozen people. The wait time is way too long for picking up, and prices are far higher than others in town.Don’t go here if you’re on a time crunch. Davis Iron and metal is the place to go.

Terrible service. Almost impossible to get a quote or place an order. They don't return calls or emails. Expect to talk to at least 5 different people over a week or two before you actually get an order placed.

This place is terrible for delivery. You will spend 5-6 hours here waiting. They don't care about your time or schedule. I won't come here again. And after you stop by for unloading, they will check each unit for the thickness of the metal and apply paint in the order they need, no one is in a hurry to unload you.
