This is my second time leaving a review. This place is horrible, flooded with homeless people and crackheads that management does nothing about. They do not care about our safety here. The other night me and my roommate got literally chased in the parking lot by a crackhead and alight continues to do nothing about it. They lie, and I have proof of their lies written in the emails I have with them. They said that there are courtesy officers on call until 5 am but when you call them there are no officers it’s the front desk people that answer your call. WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO TO HELP??? Exactly, nothing. Then after that in their next email back to me they tried to say that they have patrolling security until 5 am every night that walk through the apartment complex and drive around every 30 mins. See how when they first emailed me back there was nothing about them patrolling and then the second time they email me it’s with something else. They absolutely suck here I hope this company goes bankrupt and Sydney the property manager loses her job that she is NOT GOOD AT, AT ALL.Additionally, not only did we get chased like 3 days ago at only 8 pm, i had another encounter with 4 crackheads. We live 5 feet from a massive crackhouse and they do nothing to ensure our safety or even care when something is reported. If anyone knows a way to get a place shut down for negligence please let me know!!

I wish I could give them zero stars. I signed a lease here almost two years ago, and during the middle of my second year me and one of my roommates started having problems due to our other roommate. She violated the leasing contract multiple times and this was brought to the attention of the office by both my parents and myself. The office continually ignored or outright forgot our requests for resolution. They made excuses saying our emails got “buried” under other emails. I spoke to the building manager Sydney in person and she was extremely apathetic towards everything I was saying and offered lazy “solutions”. After my parents called them due to a lack of response to their email, they said they would show the email to that same manager and give them a call by the end of the day. We still haven’t heard from them. I have been moved out of my apartment for 6 months now and I continue to pay my rent and the utility fees of the roommate that caused me to move out. Their lack of motivation to find a solution and blatant ignorance are outright disgusting. If you or anyone you know is considering signing a lease here, I HIGHLY discourage you. They will not listen to any of your concerns and only care about putting money in their pockets.

I really like it here, the only problem is the shuttle that we cannot fully depend on since it has to go to maintenance often. I do have to say the shuttle driver is really nice.

You are wasting housing that could be good in the hands of people who actually know how and want to care for their home. Look at these reviews detailing these horrific disgusting conditions, you have failed and you do a massive disservice to your tenants who you trick and disregard by having them live in disgusting and poor conditions.Alight feels entitled to property ownership and the ownership of working people and their money and labor and yet feels no responsibility to make sure tenants are living in safe, quality conditions.*edit: I’m not discussing this with your office, nice auto-reply though. These people are paying you to maintain their living conditions to a livable standard and you’re repeatedly not doing that, so what are you doing all day, twiddling your thumbs? Maybe instead of wasting time sending auto-replies on google to appear professional from your dingy office while you line your pockets with money made by people who actually have integrity, you could spend that time making sure your tenants have running water and aren’t having insects bite their faces while they sleep. Fox24 had a cute news story about Alight’s entitlement and lack of action towards treating the people who PAY you to maintain a functioning and safe home with respect and human decency, and your reviews tell the same story. This is entitlement, this is laziness, Alight harms its community.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. I have constant maintenance problems and yet I have to submit multiple maintenance requests and sometimes wait weeks for anyone to come out and even look at the problem, at which point they won't even fix it, forcing me to submit request after request hoping they'll finally decide to put in some effort. The location is terrible, situated in between a homeless shelter, a food pantry, and a drug den, you can be sure to see all kinds of sketchy people walking around and even busting into people's cars and bedroom windows. With all of this they still have the audacity to raise rent every year.

will not take care of an issue. Mild is present in the building due to a leak from the apartment above. Absolutely useless staff!

Despite their upfront friendly attitudes their sublease policy is a great representation of how they view their tenants- money making instruments and nothing more.Their sublease policy leaves all of the financial liability on the original tenant causing several innocent college students to get screwed over when subleasing (if the new subleaser doesn’t pay their rent). Avoid this apartment complex and find a complex that allows tenants to completely take over a lease. Find an apartment complex that values their tenants more than their wallets.Talk to any property manager you know and they will agree this is a very poor policy that will end up screwing people over because their subleaser may not pay rent, causing the original tenant to be financially responsible for the rent.

Decent Apartment, Nice view.- Environment is a bit dicey with random people walking through it, but management is nice and helpful.- Perfect place to live if you're an art or architecture major.

Don't recommend living here. The apartment is not bad. The maintenance people do not do their job and it takes several reports to get them to come out. And when they do they want fix anything. The management want let you talk with them. Had to call their corporate office to get a hold of anyone.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! This is quite possibly the WORST complex to live at. Where to even begin! Nothing and I mean NOTHING worked in our apartment on move in day. No AC during August heat and on going weeks of 100 degree weather. Dishwasher still does not work. Washer and dryer did not work. Multiple holes in walls/ceilings due to no vent covers being put in. There are NO SHELVES in our kitchen cabinets. And when we first moved in there were no bathroom mirrors. And our sink was leaking. The only positive thing about this apartment is the maintenance guy is really nice and actually tries his best for this awful place. There is homeless crackheads on the street and walking around the complex every day. There is a crack house 10 ft away from the apartment complex. I walk past it every day to get to school.Literally RUN from this place, don't make the same mistake as me and my roommates. It is more ratchet than ratchet can be here.AND they add stupid hidden fees to your rent after you already sign the lease and move in.This place needs to be reported to whatever place cares to look into the poor living conditions the students are put in here.DO NOT LIVE HERE!

Honestly wouldn’t recommend Alight the staff in the office is very nice and the office area and gym is nice but that’s about all I have to say that’s good about the apartments. Maintenance takes forever to come and do requests and it’s still a 50/50 chance they fix the issue, the WiFi is terrible, so much dog p*** that mushrooms are growing and they’re off leash, no parking, and lots of homeless people. They’ll also let a random bed with dog pee on it sit outside the apartments for days. My advice is to not sign here.

Giving it 2 stars because I did like the apartment complex its my first apartment it’s nice but here’s what I don’t like is the fact that literally I thought we pay rent and the only utility we pay is trash than I see a random charge of over a $100 for electricity and I was like what the heck I thought utilities are including I could have sworn I saw that and I don’t get why they charge me so much money. I am literally a broke college student and this is a student apartment how do they Expect me to pay all of this. If you are going to charge all this at least state clearly that we are being charged for electric because obviously I did see the trash one before I sign the contract but I didn’t see electric. I’m disappointed because I did like this apartment but I won’t be living here next year since they want to charge me so much money. Also they need to do something about the compact spaces getting tired of seeing people park in the middle and leaves no space for other people. Also my apartment door is so hard to open there’s something wrong with it so it’s not really good and kind of filthy.

Alight does not respect their occupants. Their shuttle times are wrong and they r consistently make students late to classes. They will not fix maintenance requests. They will promise a lot in their lease do not fall for it
