I've been with Uark FCU for 11 years and they're always my first choice for auto, personal, and mortgage loans. Their rates consistently beat the competitors and the customer service is top notch. Serena, the mortgage loan officer, went above & beyond and was super helpful during the mortgage underwriting process. I won't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Avoid this institution. Used them to get money into an escrow account and everything after that has just been awful. Fees are ridiculous, phone service is subpar, and they have limited locations.

Worst customer service and the most inconvenient services ever. Impossible to speak to someone. Impossible to reset password. Every month there is another issue with them.

Great in person customer service. Phone customer service is useless and is handled by a 3rd party company, secure chat in the app does not work, and it’s nearly impossible to get ahold of a actual employee at the branch when calling. The app requires secure email verification, but never sends the verification email. The seasonal promo emails come through fine but when the verification is needed it is never sent. I have given this bank a 2 year chance being local, but will be switching back to Simmons.

Was charged multiple over draft charges for a bill after it was rejected **even though funds where in account**! After rejecting the bill twice, it tried to come through later in the month. And I was charged 2 over draft fees for the ttransaction. After admitting they did not know what why it was rejected in the first place they then claimed that my bill never tried to come thru in the first place even the I could show them from the phone company when it tried to go through. Instead of refunded the fees they claimed it was not their error so they could not refund the fees. This is not the first time I got the run around on fees from them. They will hold your ACH transactions for a full week. All the while any debit card transaction comes out immediately. So when you spend0.04 more than you should via debit card thats it when they will try and process your ACH transaction to get you with a fee. Very shady business. Every time I have confronted them about it it is somehow not their fault or there is nothing they can do. Would not trust these people with my money ever again. If you do be aware they will try around every turn to take it from you.

I have always banked with UARK FCU and I have been taken care of on countless occasions,. The employees have always done an exceptional job with customer service. I am not really the type to write reviews but Paisley at the Van Asche location has exceeded the high standard set there and taken care of me throughout the years on multiple occasions. She is a STAPLE employee with UARK and she has made my experience with UARK a memorable one. I love this local bank and the people in it.

I never needed anything from these folks. No loans, no overdraft protection, no anything. I just needed a bank. Whew! I chose the wrong one. The bank stays understaffed, unwilling to be delightful and keeps one person working a 3 line drive thru. I am so glad that this annoyance is gone from my life and that I have found a “real” bank where people actually greet you and at least pretend to give a crap about your needs.

While living in Arkansas for half a year I made the unfortunate mistake of going through UARK to purchase my vehicle out of its lease. This has got to be one of the most inconvenient institutions I have ever had to deal with. The process for getting my loan was very smooth. After processing the loan, the bank asked me to provide the title to my vehicle, which I did in person once I received it from Kia.After about two months I get a call from a supervisor stating that they needed my title - which I thought was very odd considering I had already dropped it off in person. After they investigated they concluded that it had been mailed back to me because the bank wasn't listed on the title as lienholder, something Kia failed to do. However, the title was lost in the mail and never made it back to me. It took me 8 MONTHS to get a duplicate title processed. To add insult to injury, their online banking system may as well be nonexistent. It is USELESS past checking your balance - and that's on the slim chance you are even able to log in. And God forbid you forget your PIN! Good luck trying to get it reset. Their system that is supposed to send you a reset code doesn't work. You have to call the bank to get them to reset it - and good luck talking to a live person without having to wait for a callback because they are at all times "experiencing high call volumes".

I had 3 overdrafts in the last week accidentally on my account. This bank will not notify you until 15 days after you have overdrafted the first time and will not help you out when you finally realize it on your own. If you are going to go with this bank which I would not recommend make sure that you set up for yourself the notifications on the online banking to tell you when you have overdrafted. No one warned me about this. I feel like this is something that they should tell you to do when you set up your account and not just hand you the paperwork and when you are neck deep and overdraft fees tell you that it was in the paperwork.

One of the worst financial institutions I've ever had to deal with. Since opening up an account with UARK Credit Union, I've had nothing but terrible interactions with them. When I first opened my account with UARK, their debit card machine wasn't working so they had to send me one by mail. It took forever for me to get my debit card. This should have been my first indication to get out while I could. From that point on, it was just nonstop headaches trying to do anything simple that another institution could easily do. Want to see your account balance past a certain point at night because you have an important check going in? Nope, your account will just show pending on the app and you won't have any idea of how much money you have. Want to transfer money to another bank or credit union? Nope, can't do that either because there's no transfer option online or on the app. Want any kind of customer service? Sorry, apparently no one at this credit union ever works. They all are "not in their office". Want your free page of checks you get for the month? Sorry, it now costs you money or not, depends on how they feel at the time. This was all before Covid by the way, so that shows you how they run when they're at the top of their game. The final straw came when I had fraud charges show up on my account. I called and they proceeded to not listen to me. As I'm about to hang up, they say something about approving the charge or something. I had to call UARK back and tell them that was NOT a legit charge and finally they froze my card. They told me to come in and get a new card. I do and after going through the process, I'm about to pull out of the parking lot and realize they didn't give me my driver's license and account card back. So fast forward a few days later and I have another fraud charge on my account. I have no idea how. I had a new card for like 2 days and made two or three purchases. Knowing UARK they probably hadn't gotten around to getting rid of the old one. I call up UARK again and they transfer me to someone. I have to leave a voicemail because surprise surprise "they're not in their office." A few hours go by and no one calls me back, so I call UARK again. They transfer me again and guess who picks up, the person who "wasn't in their office." The person proceeds to treat me like it's beneath them to even have to talk to me.Never ever use UARK Federal Credit Union. If you are reading this and are thinking about using them, DON'T. You will live a much happier and hassle free life by never darkening their door. That is also what I will tell anyone I see who is thinking about using this credit union. Trust me, there are credit unions out there who do actually care about your business and treat you like you're worth their time. You, random person reading this review, deserve better than UARK Federal Credit Union.
