I currently live at the Locale and I’m honestly not entirely pleased with my stay. Recently, our fridge went out for some reason and all of the food in the freezer unthawed and has now gone bad. It’s very unfortunate that my roommates and I were only able to salvage a small amount of food from the freezers. I will say that the Locale has pretty good maintenance. When you put in a request, they’re pretty good about coming in and fixing whatever the problem may be. The elevators were down a few times over my stay which can be a bit unfortunate, especially if you’re parked on the 4-5th floors of the garage or if you happen to have some type of disability. Parking is horrible if you have guests; there are 4 parking spots before you get to the garage and they’re ALWAYS taken, therefore, you’ll probably have to figure out parking for your guest because they will not hesitate to tow.

The Locale is a great place to live especially for a new Arkansas resident. The staff does a wonderful job updating all of their residents on fun things going on around Fayetteville, and at the Locale itself! Everyone you meet on the Locale staff is so friendly. The amenities are also super nice and very well taken care of. I would strongly recommend taking a look at the Locale when trying to find your new home.

I picked the best place to live in Fayetteville. It's close to everything I need, bus stop, supermarket, campus, farm where I work, and in addition it also has an incredible structure, the employees are very friendly and there's always something new in the office, that's really good!

Updated Review: Once again. Here for the pullover. Location is good, UARK busses run nearby, easily walk to campus. Apartment is nothing special, prices increased, parking is terrible, garage is a tight squeeze, could do a better job at cleaning hallways of the buildings. Have free starbucks in the office which is nice.

The locale is definitely better than the dorms and maintenance is very quick and friendly! The staff overall is amazing but the people who live here do not respect the apartments like they should be!

Parking is impossible for guest and occupants, there is a “guest parking” for 5 cars when there is 700 occupants. There are available spots all around but for some reason guest can not park there for more than 5 minutes without getting towed. Pretty sure they believe towing students is fun. Absolutely ridiculous.

This complex would be a great place to live with an entirely different management team and a lower price. To start, I have never experienced a more disrespectful, uncaring, and rude management staff in my entire life. If you come to them with any concern, they will essentially disregard everything you say and end the message with “Let us know if you have any questions! :)” and then you’ll have questions, and they will not consider or truthfully answer them. They will simply talk down to you and treat you like a child regardless of how valid your criticism is. (Just look at their responses to all of the other reviews on here that say the exact same thing. They may even respond to this one that way. Note to Locale: responding with “Sorry your experience was less than perfect! Please reach out if you have further questions or concerns!” is COMPLETELY unhelpful because we both know you have no interest in helping. This is not just me, read the other reviews and everyone else will say the same. The average quality apartment and terrible management, as well as under-informed teenage on-site staff, is NOT worth your money. There are other places to live for cheaper where you won’t be treated this way. This saddens me because I really enjoyed my apartment, the trash system is super convenient, and it’s in a good spot next to campus. However, they raised our rent by $300 to renew the lease (which is NOT average market price, if they say that they are lying!) making the absolute cheapest of leases into the 800-900 range, and if you are coming in as a new resident you’ll likely to be paying 1000+. It is not worth it— go somewhere else for that amount of money.A few other issues:They say there is enough parking for every resident, and yet some residents have attempted to buy parking passes ($75 a month currently, raising to $125 a month next year. In most apartments, parking is free.) and been told that it is full. They tow like crazy and without any warning ($200 charge) so there is no possible way to exist without a parking pass, but not everyone can buy one? Very absurd.Another— the Locale has quarterly apartment inspections. It is not crazy to have an inspection, this I understand to make sure everything in the apartment is okay, and the maintenance people they sent change four air filters and made note of things like water damage that could be a future problem. This in itself is innocent and understandable. However, the way that this is orchestrated is very strange. They do not tell you when or what day they will be entering your apartment, just tell you sometime during the week. They also demand that they will enter every single room and bathroom when they enter, and any pets have to be locked up for when they come (which means that all pets need to be locked up 9-5 all day everyday throughout the week, which is inhumane and unnecessary). My roommates and I felt uncomfortable showering, trying on clothes, washing our faces, laying in our beds, or anything of the sort not knowing when people (likely adult men, and we are all young women) were going to barge in and demand to enter each room. I don’t mean to make the maintenance people out as villains because I am sure they are kind and respectful, but they are complete strangers to us and having them enter our apartment without any warning at any time of the day whether or not we are there is a severe invasion of privacy and not okay. Likewise, for all the people who had to crate their dogs for a week all day, I feel for them and their animals because that is essentially abusive at the hands of the Locale.Maybe if the attitude and respect towards residents could change, my opinions in this complex will change. But as of right now, I am very disappointed.

This place is a BIG ZERO. Do not live here. My daughter moved in last week, apartment was not clean, outlets in bathroom do not work and now she has fleas in her bedroom. There were 2 cats and a dog living here before she moved in and The Locale did nothing to clean and de-flea this apartment

This place is absolutely blows. My excitement to live here quickly deflated. The only good thing about the locale is the bus stop, and the bus stop is technically at Garden Park so you can take that away. When I first moved in management could not have been any worse, probably the worst out of student living in Fayetteville. Did not care about any problems what so ever. Towards the end I will admit they got “somewhat” better towards the end, not really tho.The parking garage is a living nightmare, especially when you work late. Almost every night there was not a parking spot and I had to risk being towed, even though I paid almost $50 a month to park in the garage. The front office could not have cared any less than they did.The units have cracked paint, mold, and water damage almost everywhere that the maintenance team will take pictures of and pretend to care about and the never do anything about it again. The washers stink and the dryer is mid.I was charged when moving out for a cleaning fee, even tho I cleaned several hours the night before. They charged me $25 saying I didn’t clean and the proof they submitted was a blurry picture you couldn’t even tell what was. I submitted a financial dispute and was basically told I’m dumb. I would NOT live here.
