Melissa gave me probably the best curly hair cut of my life! I let her do her thing, and she shaped my hair in the most amazing way. 100% recommend!

Not good for curly hair.I went in for literally a trim. She repeated my request to me “just a trim and a shape?” And that is what I agreed to. I left with 6 inches of my hair missing looking like a poodle with a mullet. I tried my best to be understanding and left hopeful that I could at least style it in a way that I could “live” with. There is nothing I can do with this haircut. The top layer sticks straight up because it’s too short- I didn’t even ask for layers. And my bangs are longer than the top layer in the back. Not only is this cut nothing close to what I asked for as far as length or shape, I cannot style it. The internal layers that were cut into my hair have completely disrupted my curl pattern and I cannot tame the frizz.My hair takes forever to grow and I finally had some length to it. I was so excited to just get a trim & have healthy ends and now I’m borderline heart broken. This is not at all what I asked for and by far the ugliest I have ever seen my hair.I was really trying to be understanding at first, as we all make mistakes… but the more I think about the fact that I literally asked for a TRIM, the more upset I get.Curly girls proceed with caution.

I would never trust anyone else with my difficult hair! It's been cut perfectly every single time I've gone to Mayapple. Service is great and the salon is so cute & cozy. I'd never go anywhere else.

I was looking for a new stylist for myself and my daughter and was really pleased with some of the hairstyles I've seen online. However, these same stylists are posting antivax messages and now I do not feel safe bringing my child here. We'll find somewhere else that can do a great job and wants to protect the rest of our global community. Just thought you should know.

Not good for curly cut. Stylist cut more than what I asked for. Added layers when I asked for NO layers. Layers were uneven, forcing me to cut 4 inches of growth to even out. Did not apologize when I reported the issue, only offered to 'fix it.'

When I walked into Melissa's salon, I was in awe of the aesthetic. She has created such a calm, clean, and super cute environment.I have long, curly/wavy red hair that is fairly thin. I came in with such a dull cut that wasn't doing me any favors, and left feeling so much better. My hair had volume and shape.Melissa was incredibly easy to talk to (great conversations about hair AND life) and truly wanted to hear how I typically fix my curly hair so that she could help me to make it the best it could be. She is a great listener and I learned a lot from her. I have varying curl patterns that tend to be challenging for people to cut correctly. This is easily the best haircut I have ever received. My husband loves the cut and I got compliments after going to work the very next day. Thanks Melissa!

I went in today to see Melissa with nerves very high but as soon as I sat down in that chair and we started talking they all drifted away! I am so pleased with how she cut and styled my hair! She is by far the best and knows how to work with all hair types! The products she uses are amazing and smell delightful. She gave me great tips and pointers about everything I asked about!! Shes such a wonderful lady

Melissa does a meticulous job...and she knows color!!! I took my twin 17 year old girls to see her & wow....they both wanted something fun & different, and Melissa delivered- TASTEFULLY! I am always so pleased with her work & I trust her so much that I usually don’t even tag along on their appointments. She is also very knowledgeable about hair health & what treatments will be right for your hair type. She has certainly helped me improve the quality of my aging locks!I must add that I feel very safe at Mayapple- one client at a time sure gives me peace of mind right now.
