Called lkq to find a black hood for a 16 year old car so it wouldn't have to be painted. I talked to a sells man named Jason at ext.3175 and he told me that they had one in South Texas but that they didn't ship used hoods. witch was fine so my customer took a vacation day to go get it a 12 hour round trip. and was supposed to get a radiator support as well. When he got down there the hood was blue and the radiator support was broken. He went ahead and got the hood thinking it was the only one that they had. Monday when I found out I called Jason on Tuesday to see what went wrong and his response to me was that they have know control over the part's you get so I have to ask you if they can't control what parts you get why would you use them they are a third party getting you the parts. From now on I will get online at car-parts .com and deal directly with the salvage company so I would recommend to anyone needing parts to go this route. when I told him I was going to give a bad review he hung up on me so there you go for what kind of customer service they have

Took a couple of tries for them to finally get me the correct parts I ordered they made it right in the end but the customer service at the front desk is terrible.

This is the worst experience of my life. Used LKQ in the past and never any problems. After 5 days of being lied and getting the run around. I canceled my order and called Payless auto salvage. They took my payment over the phone and everything was taking care of in 30 minutes. Highly recommended Payless Auto Salvage!I already tried that with your manager Jerry. I will not be going back and will never recommend this company to anyone again.

This is all 100% true, or I would not take the time to tell it. LKQ shipped us a reman engine. The engine was put together wrong, so per LKQ's instructions we spent $4800 on repairing the internal engine issue. We turned that invoice in to them about 75 days ago.We got reimbursed $1500. Now when we ask what is going on, and when can we get reimbursed the remainder, we get no response. These people have no integrity. We won't buy another part for them for any reason.

LKQ is awful. They’ve sent two damaged engines for my replacement and when you call you sit on hold for half an hour for nobody to help. Avoid at all costs.

Used to be quality people. Not sure what happened. Tried to contact via phone multiple times, but got no answer. After three attempts I finally got someone to answer but was put on hold for 10+ minutes before I hung up and drove down to speak with someone in person. I am looking for a specific part and they are saying I have to purchase an $800 driveshaft to acquire a $40 flange. I am aware that’s how it comes, but this is a glorified salvage yard. Utterly ridiculous. I’d happily pay extra for a salvaged and restored part, but I’m not buying 1600% more than required to get the job done. That’s theft. Now I’ve got to find and pull my own.
