“At one time it seemed that most towns of any size had at least one Radio Shack. When your appliance broke down Radio Shack had the tube, the capacitor, or just about any part needed to fix things. Some years back the stores began closing and in Northwest Arkansas went from three to just one- Vaughn Electronics. Now this store is closing in June 2024 despite great customer service and product availability.
I made a final visit and purchased several things I thought I might need. One of them was a very hard to find cable configuration but Vaughn had it. I bought three.
The staff was great but there’s a melancholy about a business that you know will soon contain empty shelves and quiet.”
