Randell got us good quote on new tile flooring. The install was easy to schedule in a short timeframe. The Mario and his crew were nice and did a good job. There was a language barrier between us and the crew and no communication of the installation plan before they started. This caused issues with access to bathrooms and the installation took longer than expected. Some things had to be moved back before the grout fully set. They recommended an independent person Breathitt Construction to install the new trim. Do not use Breathitt construction.

Randall was able to offer us a much better presentation of what flooring options available today than anyone else in the area. We were able to factor in real differences in quality, longevity, durability, value and the selection is pretty vast. We went with a maple hardwood that wasn't available anywhere else. Randall personally followed up with arrival time and install information so we never had to worry or follow up ourselves. We appreciated that as we have busy lives ourselves. Thank you!

Original review is further below, but this is an update:After the owner reached out I was very optimistic to update the review. However, the overall experience again lacked general customer service after a point. I've waited a while to post this in the hope that something would change, but even after contacting their office multiple times I have not received any communication. The process to fix the carpet was a good experience at first. The owner reached out, I was able to go in store and pick the vinyl flooring I wanted, and the owner came to the house and got the square footage to estimate what discount we would receive. They decided they would essentially refund the living room and hallway cost for materials and labor for the carpet (which ended up being $1700).Right before and after install is where things took a turn. Before the new flooring was installed I was already being asked to change my previous 2 star review. This came off as a bit rushed given the reasonable thing would be to wait until it was fully installed. During install, the crew was making uncomfortable comments in Spanish about my family pictures and my son's room (not knowing I speak Spanish). At one point a worker said he would come back and take a pair of running boards that were out front for sale. I offered to sell it and he refused. The floor itself is fine except for one spot in the hallway where there is a hump, likely due to debris that was not cleaned up. Multiple trim pieces were not fully nailed in and I continue to find new ones popping off about every couple of months.I called the main installer multiple times and left text messages during the install of issues that needed to be fixed and only received one call back where he said it would be fixed, but they only fixed one small issue and not the rest. I then called the store multiple times and was told that the issues would be addressed. After no reply for a couple of weeks I called back and was told they would leave a note for the owner since he was out of town, but had no further communication after that.Since then I've waited for a return call or check up, but have received nothing. I'm sure people have good experiences with the business given the owner's enthusiasm for righting a previous wrong, but I definitely have not. It feels as if management believes they are running a tight ship, but at some point in the chain, accountability and responsibility just run short.Original review:Overall I can't really recommend. The carpet itself is good quality, but the install left many frayed edges where it met with our pre-existing wood. Less than 6 months after and a four foot split opened up where there was not a seam. Despite being within the warranty window they refused to repair due to "animal damage." My elderly dog urinated two or three times near that spot, but why would that cause an expensive carpet to split perfectly where there is not a seam? Less than two years later and we're already needing to replace it again. The gentlemen they sent out to inspect the split did not speak English very well and explaining the details of the damage was difficult. He just kept stating that it was not possible to fix the carpet and could not answer many questions. I spoke with someone on the phone who works at Carpet One corporate and she could not provide much more information due to also speaking with the inspector. I don't blame the inspector for the shortcomings, but rather a poor decision at whatever management level warranty claims go through.Thousands of dollars down the drain within a short time for something that should last decades.

Don't waste your time believing in their so-called 'lifetime warranty.' Unfortunately, it's just empty promises. It's disheartening how they conveniently become way too busy to even return a call after a botched job, leaving you in the lurch.

Had carpet installed today. So pleased with how it looks. Installers were super. Very professional and they left no mess and actually vacuumed all threads. Randall helped us with selection. He was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Felt no pressure and he assisted showing me several options and price ranges. I would definitely recommend this store for any floor needs.

First off, I want to say what I can positively about the experience. Randall, our salesperson, was very helpful throughout the process. We have had our floors laid successfully and we are very happy with how they look. And we trust that if we ever need those floors replaced, the lifetime guarantee will be very helpful. He was very helpful in finding us prices that worked for our budget and house, and for that we are grateful! If we had gotten a better installation experience, we would have been happy with what we paid for. However, it is hard to express how miserable of a installation experience we had overall. I actually tried to write it out in detail and exceeded the character limit for reviews like this. So I will just say that the Carpet One crew we had:- Mishandled our installation date in a quite inconvenient way with changing expectations and length of install times.- Lied to us about arrival times and failed to live up to Carpet One's guarantee that they would arrive between 9-11am on 3 of the 4 days they had to come.- Repeatedly failed to communicate with us proactively about what was happening and left us scrambling with our 5 month old son for lodging on multiple nights.- Left the job unfinished, even though they turned an originally 1 day installation timeframe into a 4 day installation job. They ended up costing us:- Lost PTO time meant to spend with my family ($360 just of wages)- A lost weekend with friends ($90 lodging plus whatever time with friends is worth).- 2 unplanned nights of lodging ($~80 / night).Additionally, because I traveled for work the week after and before this job, this placed strain on my family emotionally that left us tired and exhausted, which we definitely felt and had to fight through largely because of the stressful circumstances that arose trying to navigate this installation.I had asked Randall -- who again, I want to commend and trust his hands are relatively tied as he said -- for half of the installation fee to be reimbursed to us. Based on the quantifiable and unquantifiable (which are just as important to me) factors that arose because of the sloppy job the crew did, I thought this was fair at about a $1,100 reimbursement and I primarily wanted it taken from the installation crew since I figured most of Carpet One's costs on that line item would be for paying the crew (who I assume was sub contracted anyways) and so they would not take any hit in the process for materials sold, etc., which we are happy with and look forward to enjoying.Randall was able to secure ~$550 of funds for us. I am thankful for his efforts, but this was not enough to satisfy us to avoid writing this review and expressing our dissatisfaction. If you work with Carpet One, just beware that the reason they cannot guarantee when their installation units will arrive specifically is because they do not have enough control over them. If I had not told Carpet One about this crew's activity, there would have been no oversight and no communication back to Carpet One that these crews are not guaranteed to be professional.Again, this means that Carpet One has no accountability structures for ensuring when a crew departs to a job site, when they leave those sites, how many hours were logged, what kinds of materials they need, etc.If you work with Carpet One, I hope you enjoy the process with Randall or other salespeople. He was great and the materials were wonderful. However, you may want to consider negotiating your own installation contract with people you can trust will get the job done since it does not seem like oversight exists for the crews that do get sent out.
