This bungalow is a cute little thing. Unfortunately the safety factor was a big issue here. While staying at this bungalow a family let us know they had also booked the place for the same night we had. They had arrived while we were exploring the town. They were given a code and another key was placed in the lockbox at some point (we still had the key we obtained from the lockbox the night before). They went into our stay with all our valuables inside. We came back to the stay with a key in the door for anybody to come in and grab our things. Our contact with Vacasa was unhelpful. Customer service kept saying they had no record of a double booking. Nonetheless, people were given a second key to our stay . Privacy was invaded. Some of our food was thrown away. We spent the rest of our trip paranoid that any person could come waltzing in to our stay. Vacasa did not care whatsoever. Maybe try airbnb.Safety: Get a deadbolt!!! Add a lock that has changing codes!!!! Random strangers were given a key to our stay

The bungalow itself was nice and clean, but we had some serious security issues with our stay. Firstly, the doors did not have a deadbolt or secondary lock, so anyone with the key can enter from one of the 2 doors. On our second day of our stay, we locked up the unit with all our valuables inside and went to explore the town, taking the key from the lock box with us. When we came back that evening, there was a second key put into the keyslot of the door. All of our stuff was available for anyone to come in and take. A family drove by and told us that they had booked for that day and were given a code to enter the home. when they got in and saw our stuff they left and called the renting company. Who put that second key in the lockbox to allow them to enter the unit??? Once inside we found that our food in the kitchen was thrown away, like someone was in there and started to clean up. That means two seperate parties had access into our space and to all our stuff. Thankfully nothing was missing, but we did not feel safe that night whatsoever. The renting company, Vacasa did not care and was unhelpful in the matter. they claim to have no record of anyone else having access, and yet 2 separate people entered with keys.Very unpleased and will never be using Vacasa again.Safety: Very unsafe!!!!!
