Steve and Elisabeth Sonnamaker provided impeccable property management accomidations and services during our stay. Elizabeth provide the best home cooking services, cleaning and friendliness for all the guest. (Steve) provided all the recommended information needed for fishing on the white river and has a broad knowledge of experience in guest services and property management. This lodge Is the best Orvis endorsed properties that My wife and I have ever stayed on since it’s centered around a family oriented atmosphere which preferably accommodates up to 10 people. Also, the lodge has a huge outdoor porch looking over the white river, the rooms are very clean, roomy, quiet and the bath has a large shower and jacuzzi bath. The fishing guide services were top notch guides that has years and years of experience on this river. And most of all, my wife and I caught over 60 fish in one day and stopped counting! This was the greatest experience that my wife and I had ever had! If you were planning a fishing trip or just want to get away and relax, do not hesitate to make a reservation here.

White River Inn was the perfect getaway for our babymoon! The room was perfect and the food made by Elizabeth was incredible!! She even kept everything gluten free for me so I didn’t have to worry about anything. The fishing was so much fun and we caught some huge ones. Would definitely recommend- can’t wait to go back! Thanks to Steven and Elizabeth for a great trip.

There are no words. Our stay at The White River Inn goes down as one of our favorite trips we've ever taken. I don't even know where to begin... While planning my S/O's 30th birthday trip I came across a few options on The White River. However, after speaking on the phone with Moose and Tina I knew we absolutely had to stay at The White River Inn. They were so kind and informative right off the bat. Within my first 30 seconds of walking up to the lodge and meeting Moose, I knew we had picked the right place. We instantly felt right at home and welcomed. Tina and Moose are so hospitable, warm, friendly, and genuine. We so enjoyed our time at The White River Inn and on the way home we were already planning our next trip back. We stayed 3 nights and fished 2 full days. Lesson learned: stay longer than you think you want to! You won't want to leave. The lodge itself is beautiful, 300 feet above The White River with a huge back porch. Sunrise, sunset, at night with all the stars-- it is beautiful any time of day. I enjoyed having my coffee out there with the birds singing each morning. It truly is so peaceful. Keep an eye out for the eagles that fly by! The inside of the lodge is stunning as well and you will enjoy all of Moose's hunting memorabilia and stories. We had a lovely room that had many sweet, thoughtful touches from Tina (makeup wipes, high end lip balm, etc). All of the rooms at the lodge are wonderful and have great privacy. Now, onto what makes the lodge extremely special-- the meals. Tina embodies a sweet, Southern woman and with that comes her incredible cooking. I won't ruin any surprises, but just know that everyone staying the lodge had seconds (or thirds) at every single meal. A few of Tina's meals were her grandmother's recipes passed down, which made it even more special. Tina and Moose went the extra mile for us and were kind enough to accommodate our celiac/gluten-free circumstance. You will cherish the meals at The White River Inn and will share many laughs and stories with the other guests. It really is a special experience. Our time on the river was so fun! We had a blast. Moose and Tina intentionally partner with only the best guides, so whoever you are paired with will be wonderful. We were lucky enough to have Larry as our guide, and to put it simply: we're obsessed with him! Larry is so incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and funny. Lucky for me, he is also very patient (I can't tell you how many times he had to remind me to set the hook)! Larry was everything and more that we could've asked for out of a guide and we so enjoyed our time with him. One person on the bank we passed by yelled out and asked if he was "Larry the Legend." I can assure you, he is. If you don't believe me, look at the brown(s) we caught even when the fishing conditions weren't ideal. We love Larry and will 100% be using him next time we return. *** Plan to bring cash to tip at least $100 per BOAT per day to your guides. This is not included in your White River Inn costs. Your guide will work hard to put you on good fish, so thank them accordingly. We had a lovely time at The White River Inn and made special memories that we will truly cherish for the rest of our lives. We are so thankful to have found The White River Inn and all it entails. We are counting down the days until we return. With gratitude, Devaney and Chandler

Beautiful lodge and even better people. Moose and Tina make you feel like family right from the start, and they took excellent care of our group of eight- two sets of grandparents, my husband and I and our children. Excellent place for families - We all had a great stay (And caught a lot of fish!!!)

We had the pleasure of staying with Moose and Tina at the White River Inn this June. In short, exceptional. The lodge is first class in every detail, meals outstanding and hospitality by Moose and Tina was amazing - you become part of the family. Fishing not bad either! Highly recommend - we are already planning our return.

Moose and Tina were great. Food was fabulous and plenty. The Inn had spectacular views, very clean, and comfortable. Fished the White River with guides Moose set up. Jason and Andrew had us on fish all day. My boys and I really had an incredible stay. Will be going back.
