Manager HIRED me for cashier position. Put me in the system and told me I would start on either Monday or Tuesday. Texted me on Friday morning but I didn't received the notification. When I realized I had the message I replied and apologized for not seeing it. He never tried to call me or contact me further. Monday came, I wait to get my schedule as promised. Tuesday I called and was given the run around. Went to the store and was told he wasn't there. Same with Wednesday. Finally today I called him. He answered then immediately hung up on me. I go up there and he tells me he thought I was no longer interested in the position because I didn't reply to his text. I inform him that he told me I wouldn't start until next week and I did not see the text but I would have answered a call. Especially not knowing he would be contacting me before Monday like he said. He gave the hours of my position to someone else and then acted like he hadn't done anything wrong. He walked away from me mid conversation and had his employee remove me from the store with threats of police. I DID NOTHING WRONG. What kind of Manager doesn't call someone if they are trying to change the start date last minute!? I stood no chance with this store. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Great little store however I have to give it 3 instead of 5 stars because the road to the parking lot is directly across another busy road that turns into some neighborhoods and a school. Who ever put that road there to the parking lot was a buffoon! Ive seen a lot of cars that almost crash because two oncoming cars are trying to use that middle turn lane on the main road at the same time.

Since Walmart went robot I won’t support that, come to find out you get in and out faster here for minor things and then it’s real people. I like it better

Don’t go to general dollar, their employees ignore you and act like their are doing you a favor by cashing you out, they used to have a bell with a sign on it, ring the bell just once no more., after I was ignored when I was trying to pay somebody finally showed up after the phone rings, I looked at him and I left.

This store is the dirtiest store I've ever been to. totally neglected and unorganized! management seems to be nonexistent! Their general manager needs to be contacted and something done to get this store up to standards. It's a disgrace to part of town. parking lots and store front are nasty too. No one at this store has any pride where they work! I refuse to go back there ever again! The family dollar store down the road is so much better and CLEAN!
