In early January the night before the storms hit, we had to cut our vacation short to head back to Illinois and had to take a different and unfamiliar route, which isn’t the issue, we spent hours getting here from Dallas after multiple stops and bad traffic to get here at around 9pm. We were so glad to finally be able to get to the hotel to sleep only to be met by no one at the counter, and it was like that for about 15 minutes after even calling the phone to get someone’s attention, did I start looking around for someone and looking came rushing past me in an outfit that doesn’t look like a worker’s uniform, no name tag, and keys swinging and all I got was a quick side eye even though I obviously was looking for a worker to check in. I then asked “Hey do you work here?” She said yeah and I started to ask for help and before I could even explain myself she cuts me off and in very rude attitude says “Yeah I had an emergency to deal with.” And kept walking away from me without saying anything, any apology or anything. Then she starts getting to the computer and after we had explained we are very tired and had been waiting, she again very rudely says “Sorry I tried telling him that I can’t fix this.” I’m assuming referring to another guest, but we tried explaining further how she can’t be rude like this, she said quote for quote “Understanding goes a long way.” Very hypocritical as she didn’t even make any effort to understand us despite us being very very kind to begin with unlike her. It is very unusual for me to leave reviews or say anything to stand up for myself but I said “Yeah so does attitude.” Referring to attitude going a long way as we treated her with utmost respect despite being tired and stressed by the storm and she did not reciprocate that. I started to get angry and I walked out as my mother, whose name was under the reservation canceled immediately after how she treated us. That was the only thing that went smoothly in the 20-25 minutes we were there as she didn’t say anything else. I returned to get her name but before I said anything I saw a sign that said something along the lines of “General Manager on duty” and I believe the first name was Niki. The one who “helped” us said she was the only one working and tried deflecting the issue and I believe taking her anger out on us, so I believe this is the General Manager. Highly unprofessional either way whether it was or no but I do not recommend booking here as I saw a review that said they had bed bugs and leaks in rooms. So Niki, if you see this thank for for saving us that trouble despite treating us poorly. Money has been refunded as of now and I do not recommend booking here.

I stayed at this location Dec. 8-10. Veronica was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful at the front desk. I told her I used to work the front desk years ago, and we connected on that. Also, I believe the other lady’s name was Danielle. Both ladies need a raise, in my opinion. I don’t know what their pay is, but being patient, kind, and professional is becoming hard to find, unfortunately. These ladies are keepers! I’ll stay again and refer others to this location. The housekeepers were even pleasant and helpful. Give them a raise, too!? The renovations are looking good, too!

We stayed here for a hunting trip, and we paid a fee for our dog. Many other people had dogs, which no one would know unless they passed each other. The last day we were at the hotel late enough to enjoy the buffet breakfast. It is a very relaxed environment, quiet and they were remodeling during this time. I will definitely stay at Hampton again. Everyone was friendly during our stay. There is a steakhouse near within walking distance that smelled delicious, but we didn't want to leave the dog alone in the hotel as he had separation anxiety.Safety: The doors need a key to get in except the front door. Felt safe here, unlike the first hotel we stayed at the first night.

Room was very dirty. I noticed the very dirty carpet as I got into bed and noticed dirt on the sheets. I checked the bottoms of my feet. Also, very dirty. I then took a washcloth and wiped the carpet. Black dirt on the washcloth. Also, the bathroom countertop had a layer of white powder from the drywall being cut in the ceiling. This made sense as the hotel is under remodeling. However, I thought Hampton Inn would clean the rooms prior to being used by a guest.Another issue was the very poor customer service. No one greeted us or even acknowledged our presence at any time during our stay. When I needed assistance, I had to wait several minutes for someone to come to the service desk. Although I could overhear several women talking in the back room. A lot of complaining among the staff. Even the staff person in the dining room did not greet us in the morning or even look in our direction. It appears you have a lot of very unhappy staff. The only person who smiled and greeted me was the young cleaning girl after I greeted her. We've stayed in several Hampton Inns and have always been very pleased. However, this was a big disappointment.

Other than some noisy neighbors who kept running in the hallway and making noise late night, the hotel itself is nice and clean. Conveniently located off the highway to catch a good night rest.

The bed in the room was soaked in actual urine prior to my arrival. Freshly urinated urine. Compensation did not even cover the personal belongings I had to throw away as laundry service was not offered and I was in the midst of a cross country road trip with a tight schedule. I was ghosted by Hilton corporate regarding the incident and was told by hotel staff I could not be compensated further because I’m not a Hilton Honors member. Plenty of wasted energy on my end, but months later I’m done waiting for a response. Hotel staff said the bed was not changed due to short staffing- just know there is a distinct possibility your sheets will not be changed or washed if they are too busy. One overworked housekeeper was still working well into the evening hours to clean every room in her own. Classic sign of negligent management. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Room was dirty. Beds were old and sunken in. Carpet throughout hotel was dirty. Hotel was hard to get in to with road sign turned wrong. Staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. That was the only thing good about this stay.
