Got an upgraded car to suv, but the suv had suspension/alignment issues.Also impossible to get someone local on the phone. Local number goes to corporate automatic phone system and call center. Call center gave me the same google maps number.

First car tire pressure was low. The car we ended up renting had no windshield washer fluid. Guess all the reviews were pretty spot on. They don’t maintain their cars before they rent them out.

Usually Avis is “fine.” Last trip was awful. Wouldn’t honor upgrade. Car was meh and the cruise control wouldn’t work half the time. Had to extend drop off and system changed my new drop off time so I had to do it twice and pay for it twice. Regrettable experience.

The car they gave me was good (a higher category, than what I rented, because they didn't have small cars available). The only thing I would have to mention is that they didn't inflate the tires (I had the message to add air in the tires in the front: the pressure was about 25 or 26 psi), so I had to go to a tire shop and have the tires inflated there. Avis can step up a bit and do the car maintenance. Otherwise, it was a pleasant experience.

I had a terrible experience. First, the car I requested was not available then the car was not in the correct spot. The second day I had the car the oil light came on. A customer service person on the phone told me to take it to the closest place to have it looked at. When I did the agent was not friendly and said she did not know what I wanted her to do with the car. I said the agent on the phone said to bring it in to the nearest Avis and have it looked at. She tried to explain to me that someone probably had not reset the 'oil light button' and it was fine. I tried to explain that the light was not on the day I picked up the car and the car also had 50,228 miles on it and the receipt said it only had 14, 294 miles. SO I was having a hard time knowing for sure if it really only needed a button reset or if it even had an oil change at all... ever!With no-one to look at the car and extremely irritated with me, she offered me a new car. However, I had to go refill the current tank before doing so or I would have been charged over $100 for the gas. I had not intended to return the car therefore I did not fill it before visiting the Avis place. So, over an hour and a half later with a different (less quality) mini-van, I leave. The very next day (and only the 1st day of the second rental) I set out to a meeting and there is a VERY low tire (21 out of 36psi). SO I have to fill the tire in the rain and now late for my meeting. I had to fill the tire 2 more times while the car was in my possession.My experience was that of frustration and disrespect and loss of time. I will not rent from Avis again!

I rented this vehicle for the specific purpose of being used on the Uber Rideshare platform. I was not told by any associates that the vehicles at the rented location were inelligle/not available for Uber or its affiliates.I contacted Uber Driver Support and they redirected me to Uber Accounting Dept.Uber had an error that was not properly receiving my background check.They escalated the issue internally and had it resolved within 48 hours.I was told by Alex from Avis Customer Service NOT to return the vehicle during this time, that my rental would NOT be elligle for refund until my background check process for Uber was complete. What I find out nearly a week later would invalidate this statement, and only cost me more money.Upon voicing my concern 48 hours later at the physical location at the Avis Rental at XNA Airport, my background check had completed and I'm still seeking a refund. Of any kind.I was redirected once again to Avis Customer Service where they told me I should have already turned the rented vehicle back in to avoid any additional charges.I was not made aware of this by the physical location or by any of its associates until nearly a full week had gone by, and the establishment was closed at 1pm on Saturday and not open on Sunday...I have a paper-trail of communication that begins on the very first day I rented the vehicle (Nov. 9th) and leading all the way up to today, Nov. 13th where I was finally able to get rid of the vehicle by returning it on a Monday.Still, I am left without any resolution.I did NOT receive the product I requested and I did not receive ANY amount of Customer Service that could have saved valuable time and money. My entire experience has been one that left me feeling used and abused.The mishandling of this issue merits grounds for investigation, and forces me to request information from Avis on how to urgently escalate the issue.

Picked up the car from a smaller airport. The attendant was very pleasant, even offering suggestions for sites of interest for our journey. The only mention would be that the car had a maintenance warning, for which I didn’t need to be concerned The receiving attendant said that the car was close to needing an oil change. Other than that, great experience with the company.

I wish I had read all these reviews before dealing with Avis. I needed an econobox for less than 24 hours but got a minivan instead cause he said that is all they had. They put the incorrect destination airport address on the reservation so I call and after a long conversation with someone that sounded like they were working next to a jet engine he tells me it is fixed have a nice day etc.Today I receive a charge on my credit card for almost ten times what I was initially charged.I have never had this problem with Hertz, National, or Enterprise. This is ridiculous.

I reserved a mid-sized vehicle, but was given a HUGE Ford Expedition XL SUV. So I spent double in gas, and had to navigate twisting roads in a land yacht. They also failed to record my return - so I needed to spend a half hour of my time trying to get to a live person to resolve the situation and get $400 returned to my credit card. Not at all impressed with these folks.

Watch out!! They always add a fuel service charge to my bill when dropping off the car when it isn’t on my reservation. Then the garage attendant says they can’t remove the charge and you must visit the Avis desk inside the terminal. Horrible customer service and even worse deceiving customers with this extra charge. Do better Avis!! There are much better car rental companies to choose from.

Rented a full size, got a Honda Minivan. But 2nd day got warning that keyfob battery was low. Several unhelpful calls to Avis support and we returned to rental location (Bentonville Airport) and instead of fixing it, we were given a different car - a significant downgrade to VW Passat, which was extremely dirty and damaged. No discount offered and in fact, we were warned that we'd be liable for the car's condition and scratch when we dropped it off (despite receiving it this way and complaining at the time of pick up). I've been a longtime Avis customer (though this was the first rental in several years) and I will be checking out other options for upcoming trips.

Re: Avis at NWA regional airport, Bentonville, ArkansasMay 2022 - We are grateful to the lady staff who told us where to fill up the tank of our rental which is only about 3.5 miles away.Otherwise, Avis charges $10/gallon.The Nissan Rogue is a light car that makes you feel all the roads’ imperfections but roomy for four and reliable.

The first staff member I spoke with was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. I grabbed my car drove just outside of the parking garage and noticed a flat tire. I returned the car and spoke with another staff member who was much less helpful and appeared to be very grumpy. The next car I received felt like it was going to shake itself to pieces, becoming progressively worse after 50 mph.
