Terrible shady business. I reserved a full size car (website said Camry or similar). I get there and all they have is 1 Corolla (smaller) or a Kia Sportage (larger than my wife wanted). The Kia wasn’t even ready to go, so it wasn’t really even an option. Wife finally decides she’s ok with the Corolla since we didn’t have time to go rent somewhere else, so I tell girl I better get a deep discount for them lying about what I’d get. She wants to knock off $40. Yea, that totally makes it ok ?. I’ll never rent from these guys again. Their lot is very small and a bit of a pain to maneuver also. Just all around garbage.

Will not honor your reservation. If you reserve a full-size sedan you should be offered a full-size sedan, not a downgrade to a compact.

The rental reeked of cigarette smoke that triggered a severe headache. Carmen and Bobbie were great in resolving the problem.

I've been renting at this location for business and personal use for just over a year. Not 1 negative experience to date. They have consistently been friendly with good customer service and always work with me to get me in my ideal rental vehicle. I've witnessed the staff deal with rude/upset customers (100% online reservation issues-not local branch) and they always make an attempt to remedy. Highly recommend this Avis location.

We really had very bad experienceWe ordered an 12 feet long truck and when we come here , they have 16feetWe requested to get what we order but the response was really badThey where so rude it’s up to you take it 16 feet or else we can’t helpThis is really not acceptable and very bad way communication without any apologies,If this is way they talk , why customers will come here

Until today, I’ve been a loyal customer to these guys. Then I found out how they take advantage of people who don’t know any better. So I figured I’d share this policy that they have. If you take your car in to be repaired and it needs a new part, they will charge you double for that part. If you call them out on it and tell them that you can get the part yourself for half the price, it is their “policy“ that they don’t accept that. They give some bogus reason that, “we can’t put a warranty on it if it’s not our part”,. Sure, it has nothing to do with the 2X markup. I thought customer loyalty meant something. But these guys have no problem taking food out of my families mouth. They want to charge me $800 for an alternator and a battery and the labor to put them in. If I bought the parts and paid an independent mechanic to do this work for me, I could get it all done for $500. The mechanic would do two hours or less of work and walk away with about $200. I would be happy and the mechanic would be happy. Avis, enjoy my money because you won’t be seeing a cent of it again.

We have rented from the 8th St. location on multiple occasions and have never had a bad experience in any form or fashion. The staff has always been able to provide an outstanding auto to fit our needs, including unexpected last minute changes based on peculiar needs a couple of times. Vehicles are always clean, serviced, and ready to go. Makes our planning so much easier knowing they have our back.We will definitely be back!!!

Sonya & Bobby honestly are what made the experience. Granted, the vehicle rental was also superb in quality (ie: Toyota Corolla). The area is great, those two are good conversation, and I would do it all over again in the snap of a finger. Thanks y'all.

I reserved a vehicle through these guys. I called and confirmed it a week and a half before the rental date. The day before the rental date I called to ask, if needed, could I change the time earlier in the day or even the next morning (as I was trying to work out the scheduling on my traveling. She said no problem. The day of the rental I called to say that I wasn't going to make it into the area that day and that I wanted to change the date until the next morning. She said, no need, since their system holds your reservation for 24 hours after you were supposed to pick it up. I said, are you sure. She said yes.I came in the next morning, and guess what. No vehicle. She acted liked she didn't know about the rental at first. Then after I walked out a little bewildered and stressed (because the vehicle was so I could work a job) she came out and said, "Oh, i found your name from yesterdays reservations and we got rid of the van this morning" I said, aren't you supposed to save them for 24 hours, i explained that I called and tried to change it. She started saying something about maybe selling it that morning or something... at that point I was about seeing red and left.Long story short, don't trust these guys with an important reservation.
