Had a pet emergency the day the snow storm was to hit, and was still able to get in and get seen by the vet. The staff was so kind and caring for my cat.

Normally I've really liked this place because they are very fast to get animals in, open great hours and the drs are nice.
However my cat had a problem going outside the litter box. I took 2 cats in for checkups. I specifically said "my cat has Been pooping outside the box, recently it had blood, and he began peeing outside the box so it indicated a larger problem to me.
We discussed a lot so I am not blaming the dr for omitting it.., however they did fecals but after I left I realized they did not check for a UTI, which is pretty standard when an animal isnt using the box.
I asked if I can bring him in for a urinary test. I was told they cant tell me for sure over the phone if I have to pay a full exam fee or a partial. Even the partial is almost $50 and he was just seen there for the same problem literally less than 3 days ago.
Apparently it's "up to the dr" how much I pay. I dont think I should have to pay any exam fee when I was just there and told them "he has been pooping outside the box and now peeing outside the box and I want to have him checked". They only checked for half the problem: intestinal parasites, but not UTI and now they want me to pay a whole exam fee to check the other half of his exact same problem. HE doesnt need another exam. He needs the other half of the test that should have been done the first time. I paid a full exam fee but his problem was not fully investigated and now in order to have it fully investigated I have to pay twice.
when a cat has pee problems it clearly warrants a UTI check. This was not done and he doesnt need a new exam just to have this done.
Thats gouging.

The staff here are the most patient and kind people. I never expected to praise Petco, but they have taken care of us twice now as we sent our companions over the rainbow bridge. They loved our pets with us as we said goodbye, I cant recommend them enough.

Easier to get appointments at this location vs our previous vet. Staff is super nice and very knowledgeable. They never make us feel rushed. The vet spends extra time with us to make sure we understand test results. Prices are competitive and reasonable on most things.

I'm not putting a star, upset just left there asking if they had something to help my little Cody for his itchy skin, told them I have tried everything it helps put not for long. So I went ask them because right now don't have 200 or 300 hundred dollars just to see. Never have got out for under 200 and used a coupon. But I knew they would say no, I don't mind paying but, look at his skin then give meds 200 plus. I just thought I could get my boy more help than I can with over the counter. Not happy I came back and gave 4 Stars went in and took Cody in for his itching, ended still paying 200+ dollars, my baby boy has not been itching feeling better. I guy who came in first was nice personal, gave us the information we needed to here. A prescription for aperquil worked almost immediately. Many Thanks I did not have the at this time but I glad I brought him in much better. Thanks

Had to go here to get shots for my two puppies because their vet couldn’t get them in for a couple weeks and they needed second round of puppy shots. The vet who came to speak to me was extremely rude and condescending the entire time she spoke to me. I purchased two Frenchie puppies (a girl and a boy) from the same litter that already have schedule spay and neuter appointments set at their real vet to alleviate any risks. I was interrogated about if I was going to breed them, who I would breed with if I chose to breed my boy dog, who the other dog that I would be breeding with’s vet would be, if I was prepared to pay for a c section if I did breed my boy dog with someone else’s girl dog. It made me extremely uncomfortable the extent of questioning she went to without even asking if I intended to breed and just assuming I was. The puppies real vet has never interrogated me like that and he’s their actual vet and the one they would both go to in the event that either of them ever had an issue or if I ever had intentions of breeding them (which I don’t). I am young and own two puppies that are prone to health problems so I understand the questioning to a certain extent, but when I’ve spent thousands of dollars on puppies and nearly $600 for shots for two puppies that day that are extremely healthy and well taken care of, I don’t feel that the interrogation, implications made about being able to afford the dogs, and the rude remarks are really necessary. There were just multiple comments and questions made that would have rubbed anyone the wrong way. This is not the place to go if you genuinely want a vet that cares about you or your pet. This is the place to go if you want yo be treated as though you don’t deserve to have a pet even if they’re healthy and are well taken care of all because you are young. You will be judged and spoken down to the entire time you are there.

As I am writing this, I am almost tearing up because words can hardly express how grateful I am to Dr. Bud, Blake and the reception staff here. My mother has a much beloved kitty companion, who is her whole world. He was having some issues eating and drinking and we took him here because it was open on a Saturday. On Tuesday, we brought him back because we were still concerned. Dr. Bud and staff were so kind and empathetic, professional and caring. They were thorough and honestly suggested that we go ahead and take him to a more equipped animal hospital. Dr. Bud and your staff were not only wonderful to her kitty, you were also sincere and made an instant connection to us. Thank you so very much! Carol and Amy and Duke * edit, as I remember Dr Bud and forgot the last name. :) he was that personable. Thanks again.
