Another day, another Walmart. Stopping here for supplies, I found the store to be in decent condition. Cart corrals outside need attention, some loose trash in the parking lot. Inside, plenty of carts and a greeter checking receipts at the door. Shelves were decently stocked and I had no problem finding stuff in the deli aisle, produce and finally, automotive for something to put in the van.Of course, self-checkout. I think there wasn't even one checkout today that was staffed by an associate.[Review 19821 overall - 297 in Arkansas - 794 of 2023.]

This Walmart thinks everybody is their employee and we are all supposed to do their job for them. Never any cashiers around, so I go to the self check out, like today. Had a case of old roy canned dog food, separate cans, but they all cost the same. So, in self checkout, I take one can and scan it 12 times, which is how many cans are in a case. I got about halfway through, and the employee who is standing around (they always have plenty of employees standing around doing nothing BY the cashiers station, but never any actual cashiers) tells me I'm scanning the cans wrong, I have to scan each can individually, because they are different flavors. So? They are all the same price!! Then this drone tells me that it matters because they want to keep the inventory straight. Okay. But I'm not a Walmart employee. I want to get my groceries, check them out MYSELF, and get the heck out of there, I could care less about their inventory!!! I'm not a Walmart employee!! But no, I have to stand there for 10 extra minutes, while this drone scans the cans the 'right' way. You know how that could have been avoided? BY HAVING MORE CASHIERS!!! So it's not bad enough we have to pay steadily rising prices at Walmart, we have to scan our own groceries, because the employees are too busy standing around, now we have to scan stuff the 'right way' and make sure we keep Walmart's inventory straight, like we are ALL Walmart employees! I want to emphasize that I was not trying to get away with anything, the price was exactly the same, but God FORBID, I didn't scan each individual can!! What a joke!!!

Drove to Walmart to buy a new battery for my car. Waited 20 minutes in designated area, no one acknowledged me. Went inside building and was told to wait in the bay. Within 10 minutes, someone spoke to me. It would be another 1.5 hours before they could get to my vehicle. Instead, I went to ORielys auto parts. Within 15 minutes, I had purchased a battery and they installed it for free. Walmart lost a $130.00 dollar sale.

After 5 years I am sad to report this store has not improved. Yes, they added a couple of cheeses... But, still not up to par! Most of the time we can't find what we need. The season products are put away too early to make room for the next season. So, that's another problem. Don't think the Managers care about this store. If you are following a recipe good luck finding everything you may need... This neighborhood really could use a Big super store with good products, and fresh produce. This Walmart is not it!

I actively avoid this Walmart because of the lack of cashiers & lack of working buggies. I rarely go to this Walmart now. Every time I go I have never had a buggy that worked properly. It doesn't sound like a big deal I know. However my fat a** would like to make it down the Little Debbie aisle without bumping into everyone.

I will no longer shop at Walmart. I am a senior and just like so many senators out there we do not want to check ourselves out. If they can't get people to work the check stands but have plenty to stand around the self check out then they don't need my business. I had over $600 in 2 carts the last time I shopped there. Two check stands open with 6 people with large orders in line on both lanes...wake up Walmart old people don't want to do the work we pay you to do. Check us out or loose the business........

Considering this is the only Walmart in the Ash flat, Salem, Hardy,Cherokee Village,Cave City area. It absolutely is the worst. Mike Alexander will not allow delivery to be built because it means he will have to deal with the health department. The store is never stocked. Its the only place some can buy clothes. They won't put in anything new. There is not even enough outfits there to supply somebody with a week worths of clothes. It truly is very shameful.

I go to this store weekly. While on occasion they do run out of items one would assume would be commonplace, it is not surprising because we are not in a densely populated area. It can be hard to predict what people in rural areas need vs what they want to splurge on (and keep the majority happy while obviously causing occasional distresses which I have experienced personally on occasion). Overall, the prices are worth the hassle and the choices are reasonably fair. True it is a 30 minute drive and there are a few luxuries I miss from shopping at Walmarts in larger cities (deli), but it saves me approximately $200 every month (and that is not including the pharmacy prices).
