The owner Joe is a lifesaver! He is extremely knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful. We had a breakdown a couple of miles away on Friday after Thanksgiving on a trip from Oklahoma to Georgia. We called and were shocked to find a shop open so close close by. We limped our vehicle to his shop where he was waiting for us. He immediately diagnosed our problem and was able to get the parts locally. We had a great conversation almost if we were old friends while waiting for the parts. The repair only took a short time once the parts arrived. I’d expected we’d have to stay in the area for a couple of days at least but that wasn’t the case! Joe was VERY fair on our repair pricing. We drove away toward Atlanta just a couple hours later after we arrived with smiles on our faces and a new friend. I do believe God was looking out for us when our issue happened near Joe’s shop. If you have a problem with your car don’t hesitate to bring your repairs to 71 Auto and Transmission! Tell Joe that David from Canton, Ga sent you ?

We appreciate Joe and his willingness and ability to rebuild transmissions! We refer so many clients his way because a rebuilt original transmission is sometimes much m ore affordable than buying a new transmission and dropping it in. We text him the details, he gives us the price and we tell our clients so they can choose. He's done several in the last few months for our clients including a 64 Mustang, a 16 Ram, 07 LR3, etc. He stands behind his work and we are grateful to have him local to refer to!

We ran over some debris on I-40 and were concerned there was real damage to our car; stopped in here to make sure we weren't putting our selves at risk if we kept going. Daughter had issue on the road and had her stop by the and have steering looked at. Joe took it in right away and determined that the CV and tie rod is worn. He could not fix it today but said it was safe to make it home. Did not charge us and I felt better for her to be on the road. Had great service here. My daughter's transmission went out and destroyed many parts. He was able to rebuild it and it was much faster than I anticipated. Very delighted and no sticker shock. Very upfront with everything. Thank you!

Joe doesnt mind me asking questions. He teaches me as he describes the possible issues and how we go about fixing them. He is a nice man and I am pretty fond of him. Even though Im not from around these parts, ID most likely always call Joe and get his opinion and recommend his transmission servicing.
