Unprofessional. The job was to paint a deck. I felt dismissed and talked over. They showed up with a bucket, painters tape and a brush. No ladders or tarps. His guy didn’t tape off the parts of the deck not to be painted. What should have used a gallon of paint took two and a half gallons. His guy splattered paint everywhere. Even on the cement feet away from my deck. Drips onto the skirt of the deck were not cleaned up and soaked in.He claims no payment until job is done and customer is happy. I met them at 3:15pm. I needed to be at work at 4. The job was not finished. He said his guy needed another day. But he would touch up spots missed and clean up. David insisted he be paid in full, so he could pay his guy. Assuring me everything would be done to my satisfaction but he couldn’t meet me later. This was Friday. His guy would be back Monday. Monday I was told his guy couldn’t get his car started. I met with David to show him the mess I found, including cigarettes put out on my patio table and food trash. David was not interested in coming down to see. He stood over me, on my deck and argued. Demanding if I wanted his man flogged and fired.David was hostile and argumentative. He accused me of being unreasonable. That these were all little things. At their point there was no working this out. He insulted me and would not listen. Talking over me and deflecting when I tried to work this out. He left. Later he called back and wanted to fix things but I have no faith in David or his work.Later I found out his painter told my contractor that I was broke. What did David tell him about me? We never discussed my finances. I was told his price and agreed.There is so much more that happened, than I can put in this review.This mess cost me more than his fee and having to pay someone else to fix things. Everyone has a bad day, but instead of listening to my concerns and working with me, it became hostile. As the owner David should have acted more professional and taken responsibility for his man’s work. Not given excuses and been short with me.Services: Wood painting

David was wonderful to work with. We had a tricky framing and trim job that required carefully matching the exist wonky setup (older home with weird previous work done).
