We were camping at Lake Ouachita and had just had a new camper shell in Louisiana and when we got to the camp site, we could not open the back because the cable had broken. “I'm on the road from Virginia to Arizona and halfway across my battery light comes on. I stop at Auto Zone to get the free battery check and find out the alternator is the issue. They have on call mechanics who came out on a saturday to replace the alternator. Took some time but they got the job done. Car turned on great. About 5 mins down the road, battery light comes back on. I pulled over and called AutoZone and the store manager came out to help jump my car since the alternator didnt get a chance to charge the battery up well enough. Car turned over but we felt the battery isn't doing well and we decided the battery needed to be replaced. Store manager called the maintence fellas back out and went to AutoZone to grab a new battery. All the while I'm stuck down the road at Sonic.
I have never had a store go out of their way to help the way this store did. The manager, David Jones did everything in his power to help me get back on the road. I can tell you now, if AutoZone can help, it will be my first choice from here on. Thank you to everyone that helped me today!”
