A bookstore to happily fall into, with both standard offerings and treasures to discover. Owner was very polite, welcoming, and helpful.

The guy behind the desk made several racist jokes and comments with my children there and was talking about my hair. Asked me if I was “ethnic.” Also, the place stinks like cigarette smoke and is very dirty. Do not come here!

An barely organized used bookstore with a leaking roof and lots of junk. Let quickly after someone began smoking.

If we could give no stars, WE WOULD. My wife and I came in today when we noticed the business driving by and we're thrilled to check it out. However, when we walked in, the owner (I'm guessing) was an older guy (in his 60s possibly) greeted us and proceeded to compliment my wife. We didn't think anything of it after she accepted the compliment and continued to look around. However, my wife stayed towards the front where the records were while I walked towards the back where the books were. The owner proceeded to walk by her (making her very uncomfortable) and said, "Don't worry I'm not going to molest you or anything," "not with him here at least" while pointing at me. And he proceeded to walk to me and say "Watch out she's shifty..." This is the most unprofessional and inappropriate interaction my wife and I have ever had in a so called "business." We WILL NOT be returning. Do NOT recommend coming here unless you want to be bothered by a creep.....

I wanted to buy some books for me, my husband and kids, so i was looking at the books outside, then i was going to go inside and my husband stopped me, he said that the lady there was giving me dirty looks and as i looked sure enough she was giving me that racist look soo we just skipped it and continued on to other places and saw the antique shop, well we will be doing our shopping there.

Found some good deals here on old items I love: VHS, cassettes, paper backs, the store is old downtown with better hours than the others!

Went here Sat Feb 18 2:15. Place shut and padlocked. Signs saying owner retiring and wants to sell. Long hot walk for nothing

It's dusty, smells of smoke and the owner is a cantankerous son of a gun but you won't find a better collection of books, magazines, music from all eras anywhere else. They are closing for business real soon so a budget of time and money are in order for some sweet deals that'll soon be gone if you don't bother to check them out.

Awesome, unique bookstore and proprietor. Somebody needs to write a book or movie about this place, the owner, and the customers. Life is too short to be boring, and this bookstore is definitely not.

Found this place when my wife and I went downtown for lunch. It’s a treasure trove of used books if you’re willing to spend a little time digging. Yes it’s a little dusty and hot but they have amazing books at great prices. We love supporting local and small businesses and we will definitely be back. When we bought a pile of Agatha Christie novels the owner asked who the fan was and then took the time to go show my wife a few other books he had of hers and we bought those too. The owner was open and conversational, letting us know about the bookstore, his hours, prices, what kind of books he had we might enjoy…friendly guy. If you’re looking for pristine maybe order off Amazon but if you’re looking for well-loved stories, this place is awesome.

Showed up at 3pm, they're suppose to open at 2. It wasnt opened, there was a note on the door saying "opens 2pm everyday" , well clearly not everyday. The outside looks very run down, books in the window covered in dust and spider webs, abandoned books in the sun outside, clearly they dont know that the sun is the worst thing for books. I was going to attempt to come in on a different day but the rest of the reviews makes me not want too.
