not exactly sure why this pharmacy had such a low review score but me being me, i’m glad it does bc it means shorter lines when i pick up my prescriptions. Willie the pharmacy manager and the head pharmacist whose name i don’t recall right now as i’m getting a bit old, are compassionate and competent and the pharmacy techs they hired to assist them are exceptionally empathetic and know their jobs. Recently their automated prescription service failed for reasons unknown to me. These people worked extra hard to insure patients were notified and that paper prescription’s were honored.. painless vaccinations as well.. miles above the other pharmacy in vail.

This pharmacy used to be our go to pharmacy in Vail. Sadly, I've transferred all of our prescriptions to Walmart. The customer service is subpar to say the least. A newer employee, Will, is rude in person and even worse on the phone. Don't blame corporate. Help the customer. A prescription was received by the pharmacy and filled 11/24. I placed and paid for an order for next day delivery. Yes, the next day was a Saturday but nowhere on the website did it say the service excludes weekends. Delivery was not attempted for the next day delivery order until Friday, 12/1. I wasn't home and a signature was required which again was not indicated would be required when the order was placed. TERRIBLE customer service. Called today to cancel the order and was told I needed to come into the store for a refund. This is beyond ridiculous.

It's pretty cool that I called the pharmacy 35 minutes before they close for lunch, and proceeded to be put on hold that entire time. Didn't speak to a single person, went straight from ringing to listening to "hold" music. If I could rate less than 1 star I would.

Mr. McCracken was so helpful in the pharmacy he went out of his way to make sure my secondary insurance was inputted. I am so greatful and have had issues elsewhere. Thank you for taking the time! Thanks for restoring my faith in humanity.

It’s so sad that the pharmacy doesn’t have adequate staff to take care of their customers. I’ve waited in line for over 30 minutes with a full cart of groceries to get a prescription. The staff they do have moves in slow motion. If they had enough staff they could open up another register and take care of people.Also they wouldn’t have to close during the middle of the day for lunch.I find the staff very unpleasant.

I get many prescriptions from your Safeway pharmacy. The app that notifies me on my phone has been changed now instead of knowing, which prescription by name is ready it’s the prescription number that is absolutely stupid. No one knows the prescription number, and especially us who have a myriad of prescriptions not a good update thank you so I can vent.

The worst customer service! They are so slow no matter how many people are waiting in line. 30 minutes or more. They need to hire more staff so they don't have to close in the middle of the day for lunch. And be able to open another register when the line is long. How inconvenient for their customers. Go somewhere else.

Just walked into pick up. Since they close for lunch they wouldn't help me. Even though the gate was still upWith gas at $3.65 a gallon I drove here to pick up my scripts. Total BS. Safeway. It's time to switch. Why does everyone have to go to lunch at once. Get it together people.

I love this pharmacy. When I moved here a few years ago, I was worried I wouldn't have the same experience I had at my old place. However, I knew right off the bat I was not going to Walgreens. Safeway was the first pharmacy I tried and I love. The pharmacists and techs are amazing. I love Alethea and Nat, but all of the employees have been amazing to me. These are just the two I have the most contact with. My neighbors were having trouble getting their meds from the Other place and I recommended Safeway. They are very happy with the service as well.

Carefully check your receipts. Every time i shop here, i have to go to customer service for money back. This week, it was $20 back. Last week, $45. Also, watch for false advertising with the alcohol. Sign says, "Save if you buy 2 mix and match" Was told that meant you must buy 2 of the same thing to get a discount. Ummm- where does the mix part come in then?

If you get Covid and are prescribed Plaxovid do not bother to go to his pharmacy. Our doctor prescribed it for my wife and the pharmacy requires a renal function test results from the doctor. So Safeway thinks they know more than your doctor knows.
