The customer service at Vantage West is top notch!! I use the Euclid and Speedway location. I made a mistake with a check deposit, and in just a few minutes, Jay had my situation all figured out and fixed. He also gave me tips on how to avoid the problem next time. I've been a customer for almost 20 years, and my husband and I just moved our joint checking to them. I'm so glad we did!!

I made a mobile deposit of a large check, and this CU allowed me to spend it without verifying the funds. It turns out that this check was bounced, and all of my checking and savings accounts were emptied in order to make up the difference. Even that was not enough and the extra was put on my credit card without my permission. All of this was done without any communication from their end.Obviously this was extremely inconvenient.Just be aware that this practice is done, and there is no protection to fraudulent checks that are deposited on mobile. They will allow you to spend money before it is verified. And if the check bounces you are left paying the bill without warning.

10/10 DO NOT recommend I brought family to this establishment to open accounts and stuff would never do that again. I spoke to three agents today and nothing but disappointment in a brand. knowing someone is facing health issues mental issues and can't work rn still can't provide some sort of help by simply "freezing" an account, gets charged 100$ in NSF fees for stupid things like 1$ here just dissatisfied. can't even cancel my account so it won't continue to be changed while im on a leave of absence. Can't even lock the card to ensure no further Charges. This certainly makes me feel relaxed for when I return to work and my check being eaten up by all these unstoppable fees.

Just received the arbitration letter today July 28. The letter was made on June 28th. This gives me 0 days to opt out of arbitration. I believe VWCU intentionally engages in harmful practices. I'm a member residing on the East Coast. Even if the letter was mailed on the day it was made arriving in 15 days and having to return in 15 days is not operating the arbitration agreement in good faith, as this also gives 0 days to opt out of the ridiculous time requirements set by VWCU. Furthermore, the CFPB has this to say about the subject "Arbitration clauses in contracts for products like bank accounts and credit cards make it nearly impossible for people to take companies to court when things go wrong," said CFPB Director Richard Cordray. I've been a Vantage West customer for more than a decade, and never had a problem, but I am infuriated at the recent notice that they're automatically opting everyone into new provisions that waive their customers' rights to be part of any current or future class action lawsuits, claiming that any continued use of one's account after July will act as consent for these new provisions. This is truly underhanded, despicable, anti-consumer behavior. For the first time, I'm seriously considering taking my business elsewhere.

This bank is dishonest in general . They help their customers steal money when it comes to disputes. They shop with their cards , use a chip, sign ,take the merchandise then they dispute the items and the bank helps them win the dispute and steal the merchandise. Dispute departments are in a shock that this can be and its only with this bank. This is the most dishonest bank i have ever dealt with.

I tried to open a Saving Account online. However, once I completed the application, I was told that it could take two days to review my application. However, I never heard back from them. When I called, I was told they needed additional documentation and that I should have received an email regarding it, although they had my driver's license, social security number, credit history verifications , banking routing numbers, access to my transfer accounts through a third party, etc. So, I wish someone could tell me why, in the old days, I could walk in and open up an account in minutes, but the online process is much slower? It wasn't as if I was asking for a loan, I was actually trying to give them money and they still dragged their feet. Why?

I usually have no issue with VW, but this was not such a great experience for my sister. We came to open a checking account and we were sent with someone named Roy. He was very friendly and I let him know we were there to open an account for my sister who got her first paycheck and ALSO transfer a big chunk of money from another account to her account under a savings. He said okay and acknowledged what we wanted. We got through everything pretty fast and he mentioned he had another appointment coming up. We spoke about the savings account and then he said that we need $20 to open the checking account. I mentioned if we can use the check for the checking account and he said yeah that’s fine, but you still need $20 to open the account. I said .. okay. We’ll just take it out of the big chunk of money. Everything gets finished, he sends in the branch manager to thank us and we go on our way. My sister makes her online account and looks and there is no check in her account. I call the branch number and they inform us that we “never mentioned a check” or was never informed of anything else that was supposed to be done. On top of that I asked for a mailing address change and he did not so that either. We do not want bank info sent to an apartment and he said that’s fine. Never asked for the new address and moved on. So what we mainly went in for, wasn’t done. We were rushed due to another appointment, he didn’t care for the small check to be deposited, didn’t care to get the mailing address, but made sure that the big chunk of money was moved, then denied ever hearing information about a check when that was our sole reason for being there. He even congratulated her on her first paycheck. He spoke kindly and respectfully, however you can tell he wasn’t all there. He was distracted and rushing maybe cause it was so busy? I’m not sure, but this was supposed to be a learning lesson for my sister to open her first bank and he made it a not so good experience and very disappointing.

I have been dealing with Vantage West on my brother's behalf since he ended up the hospital unexpectedly. I have spoken with them numerous times trying to get things taken care of from out of state. Each Customer Service person has been extremely patient and helpful . It took a number of tries to complete due to my brother's condition, but I can not say enough good things about this credit union. If I was in Arizona I would definitely have an account with them! My daughter was right....they are Wonderful!! ***

I had accounts here many years ago and I’m still mad about it. Twice they let someone not on the account get money out. And do you think they made it right? Nope. I tell anyone I know this story of this Credit Union comes up. I wouldn’t trust this place ever.

By far the worst customer service since starting my membership at this credit union, hence why I have been slowly moving my accounts else were. I had over 200K saved with Vantage west, but again decided the money would be appreciated much more elsewhere. to add to my disappointment with this credit union, I called today to speak to customer service & ask a simple question about a bill that was paid sooner than I thought I had scheduled it for. The representative asked after they verified my identity, "well don't you have access to your online account to check this"? I advised the representative I was not in front of a computer at the moment to check the information I was asking for, at the moment hence why I was calling in for the information. Instead of the CSR going about her job & checking for the information I was asking for, she decided to add a smart remark taking a deep breath "well let me sign into YOUR ACCOUNT FOR YOU". At that point I reminded the CSR rep again, I know how to log into my account and check for this information, however I am currently unable to do so. After having to pry the information from her I was able to confirm the information she provided and hung up the call. Vantage west, You all should take some time to monitor some of those calls like your automated system says it's recoding to validate the type of customer service your CSR's are providing.
