Sales people talk too much, try to force their club on you. I was not allowed to take the cart to my car, I was told that I would be assisted, in a condescending way. Everything is overpriced, can do better at target or office Depot.

Nice and clean, lots of different ideas for storage. Wasn't able to find the kind of cart (one with casters) I was needing.

This store is much better shopped in person than online. The sales staff at the stores know their stuff. Their online service is a shambles. I ordered a desk from them. It came in three separate boxes. Somehow with all that, they managed NOT to send three of the six screws required for assembling the legs of the desk and the two-sided rubber adhesive pads needed to adhere the desktop to the nested Elfa drawers one side is supposed to rest on. On complaint, they’re sending some to me by snail mail. Way to own your screwup, Container Store! A week later and I’m still waiting.I will also say that the design of the desk is subpar. Sheet-metal screws adhere the legs to the desktop. Wonder how long they’ll last. As for resting the other side of the desktop on rubber adhesive pads on the Elfa drawer unit, I can only say Mickey Mouse would be proud. The problem with Container Store is that they have one well-engineered product line - Elfa, top-notch Swedish engineering. Then they combine that with all sorts of jury-rigged add-ons of much lower quality, like this desk. The end result is poor. And as for “some assembly required”, I think drilling your own holes in the bottom of the desktop stinks. Too easy for a drill bit to “walk” from the precise location required. This didn’t happen to me, but it might easily have. Pre-drilled holes are the minimum acceptable for such a product IMHO.

Wanting to get your home nice and organized. This is the place to go. They have everything that you'll need from desk to shelves to containers with reasonable pricing. Definitely a go to place very helpful and friendly staff and the set up of the store makes it easy to find exactly what you're looking for.

This place is1) A store2) A store that sells containersIt is therefore a good place to go to buy containers from a store.Plenty of good stuff here, plenty of stuff to buy that are not containers as well including other types of food storage and office accessories. It's a good enough example of a good store.

On January 16, 2024, I made my sixth visit to The Container Store with a converted printer stand that I was using as a computer stand. Wanting to add drawers underneath, I brought the stand with me, hoping to find suitable options in-store.Upon entering, I noticed a staff member stocking shelves, so I approached him for assistance. He initially agreed but excused himself, promising to return shortly. After a while, he came back and attempted to help me, but we couldn't find suitable shelves for my stand. At that point, an older lady who worked at the store intervened, taking over the task. However, she abruptly walked away, leaving me perplexed.I couldn't help but wonder if the sudden disinterest was due to my Mexican heritage, considering it wasn't the first time I felt like an outsider at this store. Regardless of the reason, I decided it would be my final visit. I opted to purchase blue land soap bottle refills from Amazon, which is more cost-effective, and containers are cheaper at Amazon or Walmart. On January 19, I returned the unused items to The Container Store and headed to Walmart. There, I spent $19.98 to acquire items that fit my needs better, including a couple of small baskets for $62. This experience led me to seek alternatives where I felt more valued as a customer.

A large selection of containers, not all are marked with the price I finally chose something to purchase and was informed that I had to pay at the other register which accepts cash. There was a bit of a wait just to pay.

I want to like this local CS last 2 visits have been a fail. 2 weeks ago returned an unused item with receipt to have this salesperson angrily tell me I should be aware of an unwritten policy (not on the receipt). Was a turn off after my last visit to NY store was fabulous. I came back this week hoping for a better outcome. Their register was not working. 20 minutes of attempts to fix problem. CS staff asked me to inconvenience myself for their benefit vs inconveniencing themselves. They finally agreed that the customer already inconvenienced with time should not further be asked to do more, on top of I am paying for items. I find this a basic customer service and this store is lacking ~twice is enough for me!
