So I used to live there and there was mold in all three of our vents and said it was grease. I had a baby in June and we left because of the mold. Now we are stuck paying around 4000 dollars to get out of the contract. That mold was in there before we moved in. This apartment complex sucks. Also a lot of car break ins and people trying to get into apartments and also laundry gets stolen, how I know because mine and my husband's clothes were stolen. They brushed of the laundry issue and said that some families will let other family member in and let them steal other people's laundry

Office staff and maintenance staff are professional. Grounds and amenities are well taken care of.

This apartment complex is utter garbage, car break in’s, people stealing clothes from the community laundromat. My apartment has had too many plumbing issues that have caused unnecessary stress and a ton of property damage to my personal items. As I am getting ready to move out there is currently a leak in my roof causing damage to my personal belongings and now potentially exposing me to mold while already having a underlying health condition. What did they do to remediate the problem? Absolutely nothing there was no attempt to make any repairs after maintenance came over. I misplaced my faith and now more of my belongings are being soaked and the water is spreading into other walls of the apartment. Whatever you do try to find somewhere else to rent!!

My fiancé and I moved here in January, and we actually love it here. Anna the manager is always communicating with the residents about everything going on, she also does cute little gatherings and special events for holidays. If anyone ever has a problem about neighbors or something wrong in the apartment she always responds and does something about it right away. They always have landscaping every Thursday and keep up with the property’s image. I totally wish we could stay another lease here but we are having a baby and need a 2 bedroom + washer and dryer in unit. And we live like 30 minutes away from my fiancés job. The apartments here are very big even for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom. The bedroom and living room are so big. Along with the walk in closet and bathroom closet. Lots of storage space and the price is not bad at all. Like I said before we just need an in unit washer and dryer for the baby but I’m honestly not complaining for the price of this apartment and everything it comes with plus the area these apartments are at, very safe and so worth it. They are also always having specials for move ins and they are pretty good specials. It is also very quiet here, you can’t even hear any of your neighbors at all. If you are looking to move I definitely recommend the agave apartments!

My wife and I looked at The Agave for an apartment. Dawn who helped us was awesome to work with. Very friendly and was concerned about my wifes disability with walking. She made sure they had an apartment with close parking for us. The grounds and pool looked really nice.

I lived here for 4 years & I have quite a few things to share. New management has been better in putting together events for the complex, which is nice to get to know neighbors & make friends. Repairs have been made faster, however done poorly aesthetically. Leaving behind unpainted drywall and rough edges making it a very noticeable repair. Safety is good overall, security patrols once a day & I’ve never had my vehicle broken into or messed with. Very rarely will I see a homeless going through the trash. Apartments are “renewed” excluding the old bathtub & dishwasher. Cabinets are simply painted over & hardware updated, same for the countertops. Updated lighting is just okay, I had no light in the living room, at least in my unit. The laundry room is a point of contention. Washers are fine, $2.25 per load. Dryers ($1.74)have a tendency of burning your clothes and ruining them. I had multiple complaints to the office & provided pictures of ruined garments. They simply told me to report it in the app. Yet my laundry would get constantly burned by other dryers. My laundry was STOLEN out of the dryer & I reported this to the office. Something as simple as a camera could solve their issues of people touching other people’s laundry. Now for two major issues, the water & the cockroaches. Be prepared for continuous days without water or without hot water. There are constant repairs inhibiting your ability to use the water or take a hot shower. This happens much more than it should. I guess that’s what happens when the complex is built in the 80’s. The cockroaches are a problem. I’ve spoken with multiple residents and the problem persists through the complex. Roaches will come out the drains, the walls, behind the fridge. Pest control visits very often and yet they can’t this major problem fixed. For apartments starting at $1,200+ please look elsewhere.

The AC/chiller goes out every summer and they always delay to fix it. I do not recommend moving here for that reason alone

I’ve lived here for 2 years and am still currently residing here. I remember before I moved into this apartment complex, the reviews made me second-guess my decision on whether I should pick this apartment complex or find another one in the surrounding area. Personally, I find it’s not the most upscale place to live, but it’s still a very welcoming apartment complex with some good amenities. Additionally, you have to consider everything, including the area surrounding the apartment, which is very nice compared to other places in Tucson. Comparing prices with other apartment complexes is also a significant factor, but I would say that, considering the current inflation rates in the surrounding areas, The Agave Apartments offer reasonable prices. I've also noticed some people have had bad experiences with maintenance and A/C issues, but in my personal experience, I’ve had to have the maintenance team come out and fix multiple things in my apartment. However, they’ve always completed the work orders in a timely manner, and I haven’t had any uncomfortable situations where they’ve entered the apartment without a heads-up. Overall, I would say it’s a case-by-case situation, but don’t be scared off by the bad reviews of this apartment complex.

I moved here from another state from a condo I owned. I'm surprised at how quiet it is considering how many units are here. Much more quiet than my previous residence Every one is friendly and the maintenance workers are exceptional. They've always responded quickly to the few issues I've had. The only cons I have is the parking. There's a limited number of covered spaces. The open spaces are very close to each other. This might be because im not used to parking outside. The other issue for me is the laundry room. Being a senior I prefer a washer and dryer inside the unit. Otherwise the location is perfect. All of my necessities are literally right across the street.Overall my experience even though I've only been here 6 months has been a pleasant one.
